You need at least 8GB as far as I know, because the files are partition tables, and what it does is it creates different partitions with different size allocations totaling to about 8GB.

Its probably not hard bricked then. Cause if it was, theres no way it would 'boot up sometimes'.

Which G4 variant is yours? Cause they found an unbrick method using Win32DiskImager and booting it from external memory. Also, some of the partitions image they have, have several mbn files in them. Idk if thats what you're looking for.

Yo, I managed to grab a dump file, but whenever I try to write it to an SD card, it just get corrupted, unlike with the H811 dump where an image folders appears on the card. The VS986 dump file also appears to be a little bit off in file size, it's only 511MB compared to the 512 on the H811...
