Post DONT UPDATE Package Disabler Pro if you want to AVOID the OTA

You can't forget the Samsung Push Service: com.sec.spp.push And I would disable automatic updates from settings and automatic security policy updates from the security menu as both of these and push service could be used as attack vectors by Samsung. ---------- Post added at 11:37 PM ----------...

OK since everyone here is arguing about the morality of keeping the note 7 vs returning I wanted to post a guide on... HOW TO ACTUALLY STOP SAMSUNG FROM BRICKING YOUR PHONE. Since most snapdragon Notes can't be rooted this is the only way I've found of securing the phone (from samsung). 0...

Post Galaxy note 7 (Canadian) Exynos F/FD discussion thread

****. I'm so annoyed by this... I pre-ordered in August from a UK online retailer since I wanted the Exynos and they never got their stock before the recall, so I got charged immediately and the delays are never ending... Now tech blogs are speculating that it's over for the Note 7 but there's...

Noticed a very strange and somewhat trivial bug with the Live Lock Screen feature. If someone else could independently verify I'd appreciate it. I'm on build 11 with 910u but the bug is so specific I'm sure it applies to later builds. Go to settings, lock screen, live lock screen and turn on...

Yes, you need gapps and leave everything in zips. Twrp rights them directly from zip to your drive. Also make sure to move your "full 5.1.1" backup off your SD card and onto a third party system in case you wipe it by accident. Load into Twrp, go to wipe. Then do the factory reset option...

Can someone test Skype calling on speakerphone? Skype calls work fine for me until I switch to speaker and then the person can't hear me and the call starts to lag badly. Tested on fiber Wi-Fi and 4g so it's not my connection. Edit: Also once you go speaker you can't toggle back to headset...

Yes!!!!! It is definitely those apps, the OP didn't put them in so you could save disk space. It's all Samsungs crapware and it needs to go. Most of those run services in the background - regardless of whether or not you clicked on them, and they will restart after ram is cleared. IMO remove all...
