I just flogged my P20 pro because of all the Huawei stuff - and just got the S10. Samsung is as buttery smooth as they always are. My god i miss that P20 pro 4000mah battery though!!!!

I am also on the Dec 2018 update, and mad as hell about it. I'm in the middle of a complaint to EE, who maintain it is not their fault, and they have nothing to do with releasing software. They're not very bright are they.

*still* on 131. And furious. Huawei tell me i should be getting 156 but i am on a C782, not a C432. Then their people don't seem to speak english very well because they don't understand what I say when i tell them I'm on a 782 not a 432 so i won't be skipping to 156 yet...

I emailed Huawei and asked where my update was. I have C782. I got a reply telling me I should be updated asap to .156 because I have C432. Do these guys read the emails they're replying to? I sent in a screenshot with my imei and build number on - there's no reason for them to be confused...

I expect it is locked, I got it as an upgrade through EE in August.

Some of us with EE phones are still stuck on July patch.

Bixby cards was working fine. I gave up, uninstalled it all. Too much bother. Thanks for trying.

Ok did that. Now i get this. It's as if the voice service doesn't exist.

But it isn't included. There are only 2 choices - Google or SVoice.

Same problem as the person you replied to. Bixby is not an option to map onto the volume up button. Only options are: Google and SVoice. It's as if Bixby isnt there. I have cleared the data for all 5 bixby apps. I don't know why it won't respond ?

Oh i wish this was just simple and flashable. I'm on a Nougat custom rom based on a different base (DBQ3 i think?), I'm on a BTU CSC, and I have an EE sim with a phone enabled for EVR's VoLTE. Obviously on BTU i can't use the VoLTE until EE pull their finger out and release Nougat CSC for EVR...

Well, I flashed it, and so far my phone hasnt turned me into a newt or exploded or anything, so I'd say it's "perfectly safe" as far as that goes, but my S-Pen functionality is back and works like a charm! I ain't giving warranties or anything though!

Scroll capture etc are there but I cannot add them, they are not in this list.?

Am well aware of which zips are which, thanks. If I had only flashed the rom control one, I wouldnt have a working phone to be typing on. :eek: Anyway here's my still Spanish one, and proof I'm on 3.4.

I've clean flashed (actually formatted sd and extsd) and flashed that zip for english rom control about 5 times. I'll try clearing cache.

The english red dragon rom control zip does not work on 3.4. Or at least, it does nothing when i flash it, my rom control remains firmly in spanish.

I replaced with the messaging_common app from Nemesis rom but that didn't fix it either. But I can,use Google's messaging app. Fixed enough. :svetius:

Yes, I didnt wipe data, i just did it right overtop 3.3. Its fabulous. Very little has changed so it's relatively safe to keep Data. And no i dont get any FCs. When i was getting FCs on another rom before, i wiped my internal memory card and my SD card, and that sorted it.

I borked something up so decided to go with V8. Wow, blazing fast! Gorgeous. I don't know how it's faster than V7, but it is.

Got it working. It was one of my eleventy attempts at using the scroll capture apk, the flashannotate, and the cocktailbar apks from other roms trying to fix the problems I've had. It does indeed work (but only with the pen) and I'm sorry for the undue alarm.

Hi there Ram - Still struggling a bit. Thought it might be my installation so i Factory reset using the Setting menu, then after it rebooted, went to TWRP and wiped everything but the Microsd card, inc the internal storage - and reinstalled completely from scratch. Still no joy getting these...

These are what i used:

86.1 works for me perfectly. No random reboots, perfect daily driver with excellent battery life. Still can't get those notifications to work though! :confused:

I love the rom, else I wouldn't be asking for help to make it really special so I can keep it. It's fast, it's reliable, and there are no bugs that I'm struggling with out of the box, just this single issue I asked for some help on. I have text messages sat in my Messages from my work phone...

I still don't get that lovely S7 edge-like notification as per the flashable file. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? Is it a setting i've not got turned on or something? Come to think of it, I didn't get the Note7 -style ones either, before flashing? Like this...

I got people stripe to stop fcing by clearing data thank you. No joy on the big notification like that screencap though.
