    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

This won't help you, but I have a ton of apps that won't work at all on 10.2, it's just kinda garbage at this point really. I've gone back to 10.1.3 where things work fine.

    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

So I've decided to go back to 10.1.3 because every game I play crashes on startup on 10.2. Predictably, I am starting to see lag again. My solution was going to be keeping an SD card lying around with the SD install of 10.2 from bokbokan's thread + trimfix-kernel-ovation-2, then booting from...

    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

I've had this happen numerous times as well after switching/flashing to and from various ROMs, as the wipe data & system partition options don't really seem to do that . Open Terminal and run du, which will list all the files in your filesystem with their size preceding them. Scroll up...

    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

Is there any TRIM fix kernel for 10.1.3? The 10.2 milestone has too many issues for my taste; almost every game I try to run crashes.

    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

I used LagFix Free the first time, after that I just typed the commands it runs into Terminal so I could uninstall it since I wasn't fond of the ads: fstrim -v /system fstrim -v /data fstrim -v /cache su beforehand since you need to be root first, of course.

    Post [NookHD/HD+] CM10.2 updated 01/18

woohoo After being unable to stand the lag anymore, I decided to go ahead and brick mine and do a warranty swap (I have MAG2GA and 0x000015 manfid). I went ahead and installed cm-10.2-20130820-UNOFFICIAL-ovation-emmc-fstrim-take2.zip I found earlier in this thread, ran TRIM, and, to my...

Post [Q] Nook HD+ color temperature

There's programs like Screen Adjuster and SunFilter in the Play Store which may be able to assist you with this.

Post [Q] Nook HD+ touch screen suck

You should perhaps consider trying this program and see if it helps: [Nook HD+] Touchscreen sensitivity experimentation (updated GUI app on 07/13) It appears to be for 10.1 however, so you may need to flash down to that.

Post Nook hd+ trim/lagfix break emmc covered by warranty?

As I understand it should cover it because they won't be able to exactly tell what's wrong with it; all they're going to see is that it won't boot. For what it's worth, I went ahead and installed a TRIM kernel despite having a known bad chip, and I've been trying to break it by running TRIM...

Post [Q] Nook HD+ best rom for me, help!

Oh my god, you're right! I have to admit I noticed the TRIM issue when I first installed CyanogenMod (hard to miss, it's at the top in big red letters :p). I realized it's a perfect match for the performance degradation I'd been seeing, but I dismissed it as a possible cause out of a naive...

Post [Q] Nook HD+ best rom for me, help!

I should expand a bit on my experience. Performance was great the first half day, very speedy, better than stock ROM. By the end of the day it got a little slower than stock, a day or two later it was already pretty bad, noticeably slower, a week later absolutely terrible. It's as if...

Post [Q] Nook HD+ best rom for me, help!

For what it's worth, performance on my Nook HD+ with CyanogenMod 10.1.3 is absolute garbage. 10x worse than stock B&N ROM, everything lags to hell and back. Even scrolling the damn app menu lags, and I'm constantly seeing "<Insert App Name Here> isn't responding. Do you want to close it?"...

Post [Q] max size sd card using cm10.1

You're right, I should have thought to do a quick search for error class 10 and I would have seen a slew of reports. I don't want to risk it so I went ahead and ordered a 32 GB class 4 microSDHC. Thank you again for your advice!

Post [Q] max size sd card using cm10.1

Hmm, any reason you recommend a class 4 card? I was going to purchase a 64 GB microSDXC class 10 card from Amazon; I don't want to get it if there's some sort of problem though. Please advise; thank you :)

Post New Nook HD+ owner here!

I'm in the same boat, just got a new Nook HD+ (came free with my car). I used the stock ROM for a day or so, pretty fast but limited in scope. I've installed CyanogenMod 10.1.3 using the instructions from the dummies thread, it ran fine for about half a day and now suddenly performance is awful...
