I tried many ROMs with services disabled as well. da_anton ROM made the most change for me to speed up the unit. Bonus that is rooted, so you can also use kernel aduitor and up the CPU speeds. I set mine to ramp up to 1600 if the load goes above 60%. You don't have to do this, mine was...
paniqueado, try the da_anton ROM. I just installed it and easyconnect finally works as it should. I just plug in my phone to the USB and it fires right up! One prompt if any on the head unit, and NO disconnects whatsoever.
You will have to reinstall easyconnect. The most recent version of this ROM will not have it pre-loaded.
It does work with easyconnect, better than any other ROM I have tried! I have tried multiple ROMs on my KGL (Volsmart) unit and this is the first one that will remember my phone and not...
I seem to have USB connection working now with only one "allow USB Debugging?" popup, only when I first connect.
What I did was turn wifi off on the headunit. I am not sure why it worked, but I just wanted to turn everything not needed off, and see if the headunit would stop disconnecting all...
Did you use the Disable Aplication app?
I noticed that if you go into settings, under storage, you can disable various services as well. I disabled a thing or two, but then I noticed upon next boot I got a screen "android is starting apps" or something like that, similar to after you upgrade...
You ever get this solved? My easyconnected never stays connected. WiFi and USB both are garbage.
WiFi randomly disconnects.
USB also disconnects asks me to allow USB debugging every couple of minutes. The phone never remembers the headunit, so it constantly asks me again to allow connection...
UPDATE: WiFi isn't that great either, enough disconnects to make me not use it.
So, back to rehash why this is happening with ADB over USB. It appears that the RSA key never gets saved (whitelisted)on my phone from the head unit. My phone is rooted and I can see in /data/misc/ADB_keys that...
Problem appears to be solved. I use the WiFi connect now. I still have to plug in usb to head unit and give the permission, but only once per day or so. Also have to make sure my hotspot is active on my phone. Huwaei Honor 5X
I didn't realize I could still tether via wi-fi, even after T-Mobile...
Easyconnected works fine while it is connected. However I get this pop up on my phone every couple minutes. I can "remember" or not. It still comes up and I have to dig out the phone and give it permission.
Wow. Yep I'm here in the states, where my cellular provider decided that I cant wi-fi tether from my (unlocked, no-contract) phone, unless I give them another 20 bucks a month. Alas, I am looking at other options for data and a 3G modem seemed nice.
I can't really seem to find any cheap 3G...
Silly question, what do you guys use for the SIM card? Surely you don't pop it out of your phone and install it in the modem every time you go for a drive?
But does it work? KGL 1.53 had a option to delay shutdown. Problem was, it did nothing.
I don't think there are any ROMs yet that will offer a true standby feature.
I had a Curve 8320. In less than a week, I was bored, unimpressed, and buying another Dash.
BB has crippled hardware, limited tweaks, too much control from service providers, and ugly fonts. Battery life is good, and so are google apps.
I had the same problem. My Dash got stolen, so I briefly tried a blackberry curve (lame).
After purchasing another Dash, I went to the website to cancel the BB service, and add the T-Zones back on. The T_zone option was gone, no matter how bogus of a phone I told mytmobile i had.
I made a call...
