I am in the same boat as you, got a HTC One on Three and cannot get it unlocked, considering selling it now. Its annoying it just sitting there and not being used.

I thought if you removed Facebook just from the gallery, then only that particular functionality will be turned off(photo syncing in this case), bit of a let down really. HTC should've kept gallery and calendar synchronisation separate.

You need to click options(three dots on the top right) and then add a service. Click on facebook and click the three dots again, where it will let you remove it. Hope that helped. Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
