    Thanks for the post, but 1 of your step took me 30mins to finger out...here is a little detail after got 'factory mode', go in there and then volume up + tap lower right - almost at the margin of the screen - to bring up the skip oobe tile). duh me!

    Post [Q] bought a demo unit... any way to fix it to a standard version ??

    I am in the same shoes, I call B&N, they told me that they can't do anything about it unless the previous owner give them a call to unregistered it. However, in my case, lol, I did the hard reset. and did not have it rooted. Gosh, Help? or suggestions? anything? Thanks, and btw, I am a brand new...
