Differences (and uses) between HDR, 'HDR+' and 'HDR+ enhanced' yanrachna Regular HDR+ takes a single exposure and applies powerful computational edits to improve the final product. Enhanced mode works more like a traditional HDR photo: It takes multiple exposures and merges them together...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

Only with 'HDR+ enhanced'. There's no real benefit in photography using 'HDR+ enhanced' over 'HDR+' in low-light conditions. However, it can be a good option for outdoor photography. I use it very rarely. You're right, Shamu version is very good for most uses and all modes. Personally, I think...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

1.- In low-light conditions, 'HDR+ enhanced' doesn't offer real advantages over 'HDR+ Auto'. Personally, I prefer 'HDR+ Auto'. 2.- With Wide-angle Camera, due to vignetting produced by wide-angle lenses, even if Google Camera has embedded software to correct vignetting there's no calibration for...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

I can confirm the problem comes from original Google configuration for taimen processing with ZSL. When ZSL is used, you can only get 'HDR+ enhanced' processing with Wide-angle camera; 'HDR+ Auto' doesn't work. Obviously I've uploaded on Google drive the wrong files. They all use taimen...

You're absolutely right. It doesn't work with taimen. It works with angler. I'll take a look tonight. Very strange. ADDED: I took a look to smali files and everything is correct in cok.smali and iga.smali. The only possible answer I can give you right now it's the problem comes form original...

I'll take a look tonight. Do you get the option 'HDR+ auto' option on screen? ADDED: Both versions have EXACTLY the same code. The ONLY difference is iga.smali file where camera is set to "0" (then uses normal camera) or camera is set to "1" (then uses wide-angle camera) There's no reason it...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

Giving credit in an Open Source projet is very weird. For me, that means two possible things: 1.- You want to become popular. 2.- You want to show off. Open Source is not patented. Every developer can use code because its belongs to the community. The only credits we should make is to Google...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

I still think using HDR+ enhanced in low-light conditions is useless (that's what I said, no 'HDR+' is useless). After hundreds of tests, HDR+ gives better pictures most of the time. Trying to make one sole version for all devices with all possible options it's a wrong approach. Each phone...

Post Google Camera HDR+ (V4.0) ported to SD820/821 and works with G6

привет Sergykm ;) I don't need to make the comparison between them. V5 uses a very crappy code written for other phones with a lot of absolutely useless gimmicks for the LG G6 but concerning colors, especially in low-light, with HDR+ enhanced is just terrible. My versions offer the best...

The situation is very amusing. I got insulted in public a few times by Arnova8G2 (this guy has a total lack of respect) and also by cstark27. I put the things clear now. We're modifying protected code written by Google. As far as I know, our findings and development here they have been done...

Wide-angle camera is useful when you have a second camera with wide-angle lenses, like the G6 or V30. It doesn't work on normal cameras. In software is just changing "0" for "1" in ega.smali file to select the second camera. Nothing more, nothing less. It's possible (and very easy) to place a...

привет ;) Thanks for testing. In fact, to see the differences in colors, image views should be more colorful with direct natural or artificial low-light. With no correction, greys and whites have a cyan/purple tint; purples, eggplant and magenta colors don't look natural. Under direct...

Thanks! I'm testing the G6 with Shamu and, in low-light, pictures seem to be better than the ones with Angler: With Shamu, AWB and exposure work better and not more hot pixels with Shamu (in my case). I'll see tomorrow what happens in normal light conditions.

Hi, 'Shamu' version (original release) or 'Taimen' version? Regards, ADDED: In fact it's a silly question because PH-1 is configured by default as Taimen in all versions. It's really interesting that with same sensor LG G6 and Essential PH-1 behave different.

On the LG G6 'ColorPlus' should be 'ON' all the time. When 'OFF' you use Google automatic settings (same as cstark27 versions). 1.- Consistency has nothing to do with the patch. I get the same inconsistent results with the option turned OFF.
