This just started happening on my G Watch R as well. Sometimes the heat generated from my wrist is enough to cause the watch to shutdown or reboot from overheating. If it isn't a failing battery, as some of you have noted through a battery replacement, then what could it be?

Be careful with that band since I had the same one and the links fell apart. Luckily, I noticed before my watch dropped to the ground. The links that came apart were at the non-adjustable end.

Try blocking Google Fit notifications on the watch. I had the same problem with unresponsiveness and when I blocked Google Fit, everything is smooth again. You can still access Fit functions, but you just won't get the notification cards periodically anymore.

I usually get 2-3 days with moderate usage. Always-on screen enabled seems to be about the same as when it is disabled for me so I leave it enabled now. However, my watch screen does shut off from 0000-0650 hrs everyday. If you aren't playing with your watch a lot then 13 hours seems unreasonable.

Do you have the option toggled off in settings? I don't use it either but I had to actually go into settings and turn it off to see improvement. If nothing works for you, you can always just leave BT on. It has negligible effect on battery as long as it isn't connected to anything.

Has the issue disappeared after clearing the app data for you? I certainly have not faced any reboots since doing it.

I think I have found the cause of the problem. I tried leaving NFC off for the last 5 days and have toggled bluetooth on and off many times without ever having this problem again. Can the guys who face this same issue try this out and report back?
