OK. This thread can be deleted, apparently the issue was with the app "ES file explorer" i wasnt aware it had its own recycle bin that kept files in case they were deleted by accident. I emptied the bin and gained 17gb of space lol

when I explore the storage of my internal storage it has 15gb listed under "other" but there's literally nothing inside ANY of the files

Ok that helps with writing to the card, any guesses on why the file I deleted from my internal seems to have permanently taken up like 6gb?

I have also noticed this.. but since I hadn't left it on stock ROM but for a day or so.. I cannot say that it is the new firmware or the ROM I'm using.. I have also seen a LOT of posting about this issue.. LP 5.x.x has a few bugs that are pretty bad headaches to deal with.... hopefully fixes...

anyone else having this issue? since I installed the new firmware on my M8 the connection speeds of both wifi and mobile data are lower than 1Mb/s where as before on kitkat 4.4.4 wifi was about 20Mb/s and MD was about 50Mb/s is this a widespread issue? all I am coming up with when googling...

with one of the older ViperROMs I could use WiFi for tethering instead of mobile data connection.. is that still doable in this ROM? EDIT: the above linked .zip worked to use tethering to PC and using wifi instead of mobile data hooray!

So I've had my m8 rooted and unlocked since I got it last year... And have had a custom ROM flashed to it for the same length... I vaguely remember having to do something special when kit Kat 4.4 released in order to install as the updater in my setting could only download and not install...

So I finally got around to backing up and trying to factory reset my phone.... But I'm guessing the encryption won't allow even that... The phone restarts and goes into recovery... Tries to load and fails.. then just restarts the system and I'm back where I started

that is most likely due to your phones location not being set... could be that it is set to the wrong city or timezone?

Yep that did it... Apparently it wasn't in LTE/CDMA it was in LTE ONLY... Changed back to global... Works like a charm... Thanks mate

So I have had my m8 since May.. And unlocked and rooted it shortly after I got it... Everything has worked fine since then... And even after flashing the firmware and radio's of 4.4.3 and 2.4 of Venom worked just peachy... Suddenly today I cannot make or receive calls... Outgoing calls don't...

I flashed updated firmware and radio's only yesterday then did full wipe and flash of 2.4 after backing up obviously... Have no issues w SDcard or video... Not sure if people having issues flashed the whole OTA update.. or what... But 2.4 is working beautifully for me
