Post modding Atrix lapdock to charge other phones?

should work just fine! no need to mod!!! there are two powered usb ports on the back of the unit. when it senses hdmi, it turns on the usb ports and you can charge or power your usb device assuming 500ma is enough. not sure what it outputs, but it does charge a phone.

Post micro female/male hdmi and usb for Lapdock

again as mentioned in the other thread, you want to be careful with the 5v coming out that micro hdmi port. for connecting back to your phone would be no issue, as the phone charges using this voltage, but hooking the lapdocks micro usb up to a host device probably wont appreciate the 5v coming...

    Post Lapdock HDMI

I can be certain that video and audio output would work with the appropriate adapter (the one i mentioned above will be necessary for the lapdock side) and cable for your device's output type. USB on the other hand may or may not work. It all depends on whether your device supports acting as a...

Post [Q] Atrix Lapdock & MHL TO HDMI. ?

Noone is 'arguing', instead I am trying to be productive and help. Forgive me opening the door to actually trying it and thinking it through instead of just saying 'THERE IS NO WAY ITS POSSIBLE, OMG ATRIX FORUM'. you do know where you are.. right? yes, of course. you couldn't tell by my...

Post [Q] Atrix Lapdock & MHL TO HDMI. ?

You know... it just might work. The atrix lapdock does feed 5v power up the usb port which you could adapt from micro usb to whichever varient you need on your MHL cable. This would provide the power necessary to drive the hdmi circuitry that you had feeding into the micro hdmi input of the...

    Post Lapdock HDMI

Screw both of you guys, I've read this entire thread more than once. I only asked because no one specifically addressed controlling the volume and brightness of the screen from a usb host -other- than the atrix itself. and because i do not own an atrix I was only recently aware the phone even...

thought maybe this could help someone.. found this on ebay after lots of searching for the female micro type b cable.. hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270798436083 as OP mentioned, probably a good idea to cut the 5V trace or perhaps modify this cable if using with something...
