Just to say I have mine sim unlocked,rooted and bootloader unlocked, going to have a play over the weekend to see how much off the ee stuff I can change.

Just picked one up myself so going to have a play around see if I can get the thing rooted and move on from there.

Am working on a rooted image, problem being the cnm9 system img is done in ext4 not like the 7 or the 10 both of which are done ext2, most windows tools wont work with ext4, any way i have a working 7 img that i just need to tweak before i release it to the wild.

Have flashed and all is working, great job, have rooted the sys.img so will upload a full image if need be.

I don't think you can, due to the fact the display driver and files are in the kernel and being you can't unpack it or edit it (not that i have found a way) you are kinda stuck with what you have.

I would say it has your details, being as once you flashed it it come up with every thing ready to go, could you not do a reset, just backup the sys.img (which we know will not have you details) upload it and then flash your first sys.img to get it back to how it was, be great if you could as it...

If i get time i will look at the tab firmware and see if i can get that to work, all that its needed is the right drivers for the wifi and bluetooth,

I can do if you like but why not wait till we have a full working image.

I tried the 7 dc one, works but the display is a bit big for my liking, any chance of the system.img from your working 9 being uploaded bigdaddy78?

Yes thats because the firmware on the cnm site for the 9 dc is the for the 10.1 tablet, that's why we have all the problems, 1 thing to try is the 7 dc firmware and see if thats any better. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2

Indeed, the best thing to do is to flash all the parts, do a factory reset and dump again, there is a tool to make all the img files into 1 file, it's a little hard to explain it all but have a read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517181&page=2 , in a nutshell you will...

Try this flash this file to your tablet http://www.theattab.com/support-nine_dual.html , it will start but you will have no touchscreen, power the tablet off and then flash the boot,kernel and recovery img you made and see what happends.

Kernel is only 7 meg, both the boot and recovery have the kernel in them, so it's about right, will download and have a play in the morning as have a 4.30 start for work.

The main files needed are boot, kernel and recovery, if you can upload them then that would be a great help.

Got a CNM 9 DC tablet which after I used the update file from there site i got a white screen, have emailed about this but no reply, anyway after much searching round the web i found 2 files which seem to work on the tablet but not 100% one is for the 7inch tablet but the display is all wrong...

OK, so have the update but not installed it, just want to make sure that if i download the V5 patch img and install it the same as i did the V4 img i will have root after i install the update? Also whats new in the update? if it's only apps then can someone grab them and upload?

Followed the guide on page 16 and it worked for me, i also downloaded the system.img.gz via IE as well just to make sure, well done all.

Got mine today but it hangs on recovery screen when installing, any clues on how to fix this? Mine is rooted and b/l unlocked, wifi only XOOM.

All i can say is keep trying or maybe use a diffrent computer if you can, i only have the older (2.2 roms) files not the 2.3 files.

All being well it will put your phone back to stock orange rom, which means you will lose root and unlocked bootloader (it locked mine), it will do the same as if writing the sbf to a phone.

As I own both a artix and a xoom thought it was best to make me a service cable,having 2 batteries is a good bet,fingers crossed and all that but you should not have any problems doing the update. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk

As its a full file not a service one it will over write everything on the phone so no matter if you was on 2.2 or 2.3 it will end up being 2.3, as its the t-mobile file you will still get the OTA updates, a service cable would have helped you out here as its self powered, well done and hope all...
