Not sure how you guys achieve such SOTs. Location off, wifi/4g always on as well as Bluetooth. Screen at around 60% brightness. So far it's worse than the pixel 2 with a smaller battery and a less efficient soc.
Edit: cannot upload a picture for some reason. I got 3 hours 33 minutes SOT with 8%...
Hi guys,
A few days ago my Sport stopped showing correct step/stair/calorie counts on the watch face (zeros everywhere). SHealth widget and app on the watch counts everything fine, it's just the watch face that got 'disconnected'.
Tried rebooting, changing the watch faces. No improvements...
Unless you're gaming or doing anything else CPU intensive, that's somewhat below average. Getting 5:30-6 hours sot over 24+ hours of use here. YouTube, browsing, messenger etc.
Hi guys,
So I just got this new pixel and I'm loving it. However, I came across a strange problem. I'm using STK for bank payments, authorization etc. Basically your Sim card sends you a message asking for a pin code. My pin contains not only numbers but a few symbols as well and that is the...
I think it might be something with the floor detection. Climbed 15 floors one day and it worked fine, but the other day went for 10 floors with 3 stairs less per floor and got 0 in the end.
Hey guys,
So I got this Samsung wireless charger that is supposedly 'original' from Aliexpress.
There's actually a fan inside and it does say that it's fast wirelessly charging on the phone. However it is not that fast - 15% in 40 minutes. What speeds do you get with your wireless chargers? I'm...
I've noticed this on mine a few times as well, but it's back to normal 5 min later. I've read somewhere that the screen shifts once in a while to avoid OLED burn in, maybe that's the case?
Does any of you NOT get these screen on times? Lately I've been struggling to get 4 hours of SOT in under a day of use. AOD, wifi and lte on during the day for 12 hours. 90% chrome, whatsapp and slack usage. Black theme on, location off.
You should be getting a little more juice out of it then (yesterday got 5hrs SoT over 18hrs of use with pretty much identical settings). I'd say try factory reset and set up as new
How's the signal strength over there? Screen brightness? I get 4-5 hrs SoT with pretty similar settings
Factory reset is always a good way to go if reinstalling everything doesn't bother you :)
Alright, somehow my battery life went from poor to one of the best I've ever had (maybe due to it being the 3rd charge or smth). Some gaming, wifi/4g always on, 4 account sync on, location for 3 hours and that's what I got:
Let's hope it keeps improving to the point the phone starts charging...
Have always been using a case for the older plasticky phones as the feel did not change much. Ever since my first glass back one I've been going for tempered glass on front and a skin on the back, camera and sides (sometimes). That way you can really appreciate the materials used, thus enjoy not...
Light use, wifi/4g always on, some web surfing, viber, messenger, youtube, netflix, location off, bt off, nfc off, screen on 50%. Phone idle should not use more battery than the screen, right..?
Hey guys,
so the title speaks for itself - I'm in the market for a new phone (tired of OP3 - it's pretty boring) and my top contenders are LG G6 and SGS8. My concerns:
LG G6:
-SD821 with adreno 530: Is that enough to push the most graphically demanding games to QHD as well as glide through UI...

Are there any heavy gamers here? How is your battery? I get around 5 hours SoT on medium use, but while heavy gaming it's 3:30 tops (no gps, mobile data on, 50% brightness).
Hi guys,
I wanted to add some sweet bass to my songs today, but (coming from a samsung user) I couldn't find any kind of music settings in the stock music app. Are there any anywhere?
Is it just me, or does the brightness level barely change while in the 20-100% zone and drops dramatically when sliding down from like 5% to 0? Seems like 80% of the brightness level hides in the first millimeters of the slider.
+ Buttery smooth, no stutters whatsoever
+ Amazing fingerprint scanner (coming from a S6 it's like a whole different world)
+ Beautiful screen, blacks so deep you can't decide whether the screen is on or off (coming from a 2k screen and not noticing a difference)
+ Endless software customization...
~1 hour of gaming, almost 4 hours of heavy browsing and Youtube'ing, wifi/LTE always on, brightness at 50-60%.
From 91% to zero in over a day. Stock OOS, no root, no battery saving until 5%, dark mode on.
Nowhere near those magical 7+ hours, but still better than my former S6.
P.S. Dash...
Hey guys,
Just a quickie - do you think it's worth moving from our SGS6 to the new Oneplus3 or is it just a minor step up? On paper the specs look great, but I haven't noticed any major stutters on my 6 to look forward to not having them :D
I don't really understand what's going on with my S6 at the moment. The battery life is as consistent as the clouds in the sky during a windy day. A week ago I used to get around 4+ hrs SoT and 1 day+ usage. Now I hardly manage to get through the day with less than 3 hrs SoT(same stock rom, same...
So the battery life on MM is the only thing I'm not so sure about. Looks like I lose almost a third of my battery to background processes. Hope it's only a post flashing thing though. Mobile data/wifi always on, location, sync off.
So I ran out of patience and flashed the XEF rom over my stock 5.1.1 and man am I impressed. It seems as if while it was flashing, somebody swapped the fingerprint sensor for a better one - it's incredibly fast, I guess about twice as fast as it used be on the pop. The UI flies (although I have...
So I don't get it - it has been 2 days since Samsung "officialy" started updating the S6 other than in Korea, but still nobody has got the update yet? Or did their "plans" change all of the sudden?
What is better than waking up in the morning and seeing that your beloved phone has gone from 35% to 5% during the night. Seems like the S6 likes to game by itself when no one is watching.
That's what I mean when I say that battery life is extremely inconsistent in the S6. No new apps installed nor old ones uninstalled. Pretty much identical usage. There has to be something messed up in the operating system.
Just two days ago I was pleasingly surprised and today I'm disappointed...
I don't think I've done anything special, just there was no Google services drain and I think it made the difference.

It's called "Black edition" from Sammy theme store.
So there is some kind of black magic happening here. Just a few days ago I had ~3:30 hrs SoT in a single day with the same usage, and now this happened. The best I have ever got and will ever get I guess. :D
