Never mind, figured it out. Occurred to me that I froze something called "Quick Tools" via Titanium Backup because I didn't recognize it and I didn't have a "run app" option. But tada, it's back now.

None of these settings are just for peek, you'd need access to the System UI Tuner for a slightly more granular adjustment. I would still want to be notified with a sound/vibration, I'd just want to hide peek which gets in the way when I'm doing other things on the phone.

Is there a way to remove persistent notifications from the second screen? I don't need to know that Tasker (for example) is always running.

I'm looking for the same answer, I'd prefer a bit more granular control of my notifications as the options available aren't enough. All I'd want to do is hide the "peek" option.

Well that kind of defeats the idea of turning it off before taking it apart... In either case, I just took a chance and opened it up while it was on and all is well now.

So I dropped my Note this morning which must have caused the screen to become unplugged. I'd like to open it up, but would want to power it down before I do so. Unfortunately, it was at nearly 100% battery and when in standby barely uses power. Is there a way to manually shut the Note down?

I should add that it seems when I disconnect my bluetooth speaker, Netflix works fine, but if I connect it, it gets stuck at the 99% and no video (but audio plays fine through my speakers).

I'm having the exact same issue and was thinking the same thing (although I'm using bluetooth speakers). Didn't see any solutions in the thread, or I kissed them.

Unfortunately, before I got to that point, I discovered (as the poster after me did), that I no longer had data on T-Mobile, so did a dirty flash which unfortunately didn't solve the problem of no data.

Yeah, sorry, that is correct - I should have been more clear for the OP. In the case of a stock ROM restore, all you're doing is restoring the shortcut the Avatar movie. This is only the case for Avatar, everything else should work as original.

There's nothing on the internal SD card for a stock Vibrant, Avatar is on the external SD card that came with it (if you formatted that, you SOL). If you want to restore the internal SD card to it's original state, just format it from within settings. Odin will restore the Vibrant to stock...

I recently discovered Jorte, which has a good amount of widgets and the calendar app itself is excellent and will fully replace the stock one (my preference) - but I'm pretty sure you can have it open the stock one. It can also sync with Google Tasks although it has to be done manually.
