I can't modify my vendor anymore and I also fail safetynet since trying LOS 16. So can't change the thermal lol. I reformatted and restored my backup and still have the issues. Anyone else get this? Next stage will sadly have to be a reformat without restoring a backup and setting up my phone...

Sounds pretty similar yeah. The louder max file makes my sound distorted and unusable. The other files everything is really quiet. So will give this a try. Cheers!

Yes, but I am talking about since reverting back to 15.1...which passed safetynet previously. I am no longer on 16.0 and struggling with safetynet after restoring my backup.

It should in theory work the same, just placed in vendor/system/etc rather than system/etc. Definitely changes things, just needs some specific tweaks for some values. I have no idea which lines.

After giving up on the mod working well on my phone, I tried this file that you are using. Once again, calling is impossible. Really distorted at high or low volume. Can't make anything out. Even my colleague sitting 2 seats away asked "wtf was that" when I tried to call someone. It's a shame...

I was getting crashes very similar if not the same on a previous version. It seemed to just fix itself, maybe with an updated version. Who knows.

Just tried the Nano GApps and it's a nope. Bit reluctant to go through that again as I've just restored my backup. If someone else wants to try and confirm then I'm all ears. But 24th Nano GApps with magisk = nope

The tasha files here's for some reason make my notifications so quiet I can't hear them. Even with the volume up full. My recording volume is the same. Made a video and you could hardly hear anything ?

I have never found one that's perfect. I've settled for one at the moment, but my in call volume is rubbish. The in call booster files make it louder but distorted do are a no go.

Sadly not. I erased system, dalvik, and cache. Installed lineage then installed neocore. Wasn't over the top of gamma. I'll try again by doing same method as above. Will report back if it begins to happen again.

Hey. Been testing all day today. Sadly I've had to revert to gamma. Thermal heat is fine, speeds seem fine... However, on 3 occasions my phone screen went back to lock screen and after unlocking I had no signal. Only a restart would fix. Not had that on other kernels. H990DS Los 15.1

I'm not familiar with every ROM structure, is it a stock based ROM? If so I believe it will just be in system/etc without the vendor.

The mod from that other thread fixes it and is stable unless I play vainglory on high settings. Medium is acceptable for now.

I've been on the latest build now for the H990DS but my phone doesn't seem to like it that much. It has been unstable for me since flashing. I get random flashes when opening apps, weird lag drops where everything freezes for like 30 seconds and the latest gcam just started acting weird as well...

Tested that file, but gave serious call distortion. I turned the volume down to one bar just to understand the other person, and also the ringing was distorted. :(

I think you are onto something there! I just tried this mod and it fixed it for me. Standard file with Vainglory - runs like crap. That modded file with Vainglory - buttery smooth... Only 1 hitch. The phone heats up REAL bad. As in, I had to put it in the freezer bad... That concerns me...
