Post At&t US mobile hotspot glitch

What I don't understand is why do you need to connect to a wifi network first? If you have already connected to a wifi network, why not connect your other devices to that same wifi network instead of trying to hack the phone's hotspot?

Post "Curved" Tempered Glass Screen Protector Thread (S7 EDGE)

I don't understand why would you apply a screen protector to a beautiful Gorilla Glass 4 screen that our phones already have? I would imagine that the screen protector itself reduces display quality, luminosity, increases glare, introduces possibility of dust under the screen, probably reduces...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

Yes, I get really hard and jack off this stuff. Of course you can ask questions, that's what the forums are for, but it doesn't help when there is irrelevant information in a thread meant to address something else. This makes it harder to gather answers in the future for someone else...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

I updated my G935A that had PI3 G935U firmware to Nougat using the firmware in the Nougat thread. Please stay on topic, the other thread has details of what you need to do.

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

FYI to everyone, I was not receiving the PL4 update because my 935A was on the PI3 firmware but modem was T-Mo's PK1. I loaded the PI3 modem to make the phone back to "stock" and when I checked the updates, it finally started downloading. It appears you need everything to be on PI3 before...

How about battery on the A? I'd like to go back as well for VoLTE and Wifi Calling but the battery sucked. Also, how did you debloat? Thanks in advance.

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

I have the T-Mo PK1 modem on my G935A with this PI3 firmware. Reception and LTE speeds are not any different than with the PI3 modem. Only reason I kept it is because since it's not hurting anything, I figured PK1 is newer than PI3 anyway...at least judging by the other PI1, PI2, then PK1...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

From what I hear, you are still going to need to use the eng kernel which to my knowledge is full of stability issues. The only reason I would root would be to get VoLTE and Wifi Calling working on the AT&T network. Other than this, nothing is compelling enough to make me deal with an unstable...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

I thought it was answered, but my apologies if you didn't understood the response clearly. Here in the US, T-Mobile allows 3rd party phones that support VoLTE work this feature on their network. This is why the G935A installed with the U firmware has VoLTE on T-Mobile network. However, the...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

To add, the stock AT&T firmware DOES support VoLTE but only when used with AT&T's network. VoLTE is carrier dependent, and although the U does support VoLTE, it is up to the carrier to allow non-carrier VoLTE capable phones on their network. The U is considered a third party non-carrier phone...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

OTA works, but you will now get them directly from Samsung. However, I understand Samsung is actually slower to send out updates then the carrier themselves.

Download the latest G935T firmware PK1 at Sammobile.com and the alternate Prince ODIN in the OP of this thread. Extract the zip and put phone into download mode. Then run ODIN and ONLY flash the CP file. You won't need root. Please do comparison tests of LTE speeds and signal strength with...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

Agreed, I downloaded Open-Signal and ran a test, I got 69mbps down and 89mbps yesterday and today from my home. I live near a tower. I also ran the speedtest from a location further from a tower and I received 21mbps down. Last but not least, today I was able to make a phone call from a known...

    Post 935a (Att) vs 935u vs 935t (T-Mobile)Firmware.

I would love to hear from anyone running the G935U PI3 firmware but flashed over the PK1 modem from the G935T loaded onto their G935A and on the AT&T network. Can this be done? If so, what file do I need to ODIN to make sure I am flashing the modem only? I have as G935A loaded with the G935U...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

I was reading in the other thread comparing the A vs U vs T firmwares that someone had a G935T firmware loaded onto a G935A S7E on the AT&T network AND reported that although VoLTE and Wifi Calling is not working, the LTE download speeds were insane. Presumably because of the 4x4 MIMO updates...

Post I'm done hosting the 935u Files-- It's been a fun run!

It would be nice if AT&T/ Samsung provisioned VoLTE and Wifi Calling on the U firmware. If T-Mo allows it, I think it's just a matter of provisioning the U firmware on the AT&T network.

Post G935U PI3 Firmware and Adoptable Storage on GS7E

Nobody responded so I took the plunge. I am happy to report that adoptable storage does work on PI3 G935U firmware on the G935A. It disappointing that AT&T decided to ask Samsung to completely remove adoptable storage from their official firmware.

    Post G935AUCS4APK1 update today (Nov. 18 2016)

From what I read, VoLTE is carrier dependent. The reason why VoLTE works on T-Mobile is because they are allowing other phones to connect to VoLTE on their backend (G935T/G935), however, AT&T has only allowed the G935A model. If you were to flash a T-Mobile firmware and AT&T radio, the...

Thread G935U PI3 Firmware and Adoptable Storage on GS7E

Has anyone tried to load the G935U PI3 Firmware AND tried to enable adoptable storage? I have a G935A on official PK1. I tried to enable adoptable storage but nothing happens. Further investigation reveals that either Samsung or AT&T removed the back end code to close the loophole and prevent...

Hello and thank you for this. I have a G935A and want to install this U version, mainly because my battery sucks on the ATT firmware. As I understand this thread, I will lose VoLTE and Wifi Calling. However, I have searched and can't seem to find how losing VoLTE will affect me. Wifi...
