the nook app works great for epubs, i was using aldiko but decided to try the nook app and like it much better. you can add all of your epubs super easy with something like root explorer.

Root explorer won't let me change system/app to r/w. Any ideas? Tried pressing the button in the top right corner but nothing happens.
