I'm having the same issue with the black screens. I installed this ROM on 3 different Fire 7 2019 tablets (Christmas presents for my kids), but at any given time, only 1 of them works and the other 2 need to be rebooted by holding the power button down for a long time. Any fix for this issue?

Fixed!!! I think I figured it out. A while back, I was playing with ROM Manager and let it flash a newer version of CWM Recovery. I realized that cwm wasn't actually giving a success message when doing the factory reset. So I flashed Solarnz' version and started the wipe/flash process over...

Make that 5 times. I have now wiped everything for the third time today, and this time I'm not restoring any apps from Titanium Backup. Maybe it's a rogue app issue when restored coming from honeycomb. Fyi, I used "Restore missing apps with data" so no system data issues.

If you are running Kenneth Penn's GingerBlur or GreyBlur, replace the "hosts" file with the default one which only contains 1 line for localhost. You can find it in /system/etc/ You'll probably need to use root explorer to get to it... or adb. Then reboot and Hulu Plus will work on you...

I had the same problem. I turned off the noise cancellation feature and that fixed it. The noise cancellation feature sounds like it has a gate with a threshold that's too high so it cuts off the beginning and end of words. Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
