After root I tried the method that worked on the S3 and it didn't fix it for me. Anyone else try yet? Or have another method besides modifying the wifi_networks_available_notification_on value?

Took both my Note 2 and Galaxy Nexus off the chargers yesterday morning before work. Both have been with moderate usage. First two pics are the Note 2 second the Nexus. Both are completely stock, run Nova and have similar apps/setup.

I was talking about VRLI3 in the file name but after reading the other thread it looks like this is just the system img so it retains the version you have on your phone?

It looks like this is a different version than what ships with the phone?

You can change it in Settings > Display > Wallpaper

I use it on my Note 2, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7/10 and it's as fast as AOSP on every one of them. Might be something else that is causing your lag.

I'm only saying it's feasible from a software standpoint as it's been used by all of the major virtualization companies for desktop/server systems. If there is any sort of implementation for Android i'm unaware.

Although true that a network adapter can only be connected to one network at a time there are ways to virtualize adapters that would allow this functionality. I keep getting the attached error. Tried downloading it a few different times. One thing I noticed is that when I choose External SD Card from inside CWM it takes me to the internal mounted SD card, when I choose Internal SD Card from CWM it takes me to my actual SD card. Maybe the problem?

See, there is NOTHING to figure out with the VZ network. If you have a data SIM purchased with the 7.7 and put it into a regular VZW phone it will be able to send/receive SMS messages at a per message cost. Take your SIM out of a phone (with a phone plan) and put it into the 7.7 and 3G/4G work...

I don't, it doesn't have any SIM assigned to it, just use the one from my phone when it's needed here and there. Plop it in and data works, since 3G does as well i'm hoping that's all we need for voice/sms.

Would it help if I told you I can put my VZW sim from my Galaxy Nexus and 4G/3G work fine and switch between the two modes? There might be an extra modem that needs to be flashed to a specific partition but I don't think a plan from VZW will be the issue getting it to work.

Because always carrying around two devices sucks. Sure I want my phone over a tablet when I go to sporting events, concerts, bars etc, but at a buddies house? Why do I need to bring two devices when having just the tablet would suffice?

I want ICS because that is when developers will really start to work with them and maybe figure out calling and SMS for the vzw version.

I move my SIM between devices all the time and have never needed to call VZ to provision the new device. Voice and data just work.

Any VZ users see the same? I'm not complaining about battery life on mine but I do rock my sim empty most times since I switch the one from my phone often. If I can gain a little more I'll run to VZ and pick up a seperate sim.
