I desperately want to try this ROM but I read somewhere that after unlocking bootloader, Widevine L1 is lost and comes to L3. I mostly use the device for media consumption. Can someone confirm if a fix exists or was able to get L1 back even after unlocking the bootloader?

Widevine L1 is retained? I read some article where it said l1 might be retained after bootloader unlock on android 11 hopefully.

You can unlock the bootloader yourself mate rather than going to the service centre.

Cross check if you are connected to a wifi. Cus it does happen when the data is on and connected to a wifi, the crosses does appear.

The cross on the network bars only indicates that your mobile data connection is turned off. You can change whether to show the cows or not in settings.

What are your impressions on the fingerprint unlocking? Has the delay to unlock has been resolved? FC on v4 was lit with 3600ma speeds. Is it still there in v5? I hope the FC continues the same in the coming versions.

You can always switch back to whatever android version you like. When you go from custom AOSP based or other roms to MIUI stable or developer, you'll have to flash a "lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip" in the recovery after the installation to bypass the security checks causing the bootloop...

Yo! That was a reply for the question if you can dirty flash v4 on v3. The answer is YES. If you want a working face unlock on your current v4, just head to magisk and flash the google face unlock module. Simple as that.

I had the same issue then I flashed "Google Face Unlock" module from magisk. The face unlock works perfect now. PS : I'm unable to upload screen shots. Any help?

You can dirty flash v4 on v3. Copy the v4 zip into the preferred storage > Boot into recovery > wipe the dalvik cache and cache > Flash the update zip > Reboot. PS : Magisk gets flashed automatically restoring all your modules from v3. cheers (:
