Ans1. Yes i m 100% sure that it wont prevent kitkat update untill u have stock recovery bcause OTA update requires stock recovery. Ans2. If ur device is rooted and u have backup of previous version than u can restore it using cwm recovery. Otherwise google for previous version of ur device...
