Same here. Used to work on HW+ mode but not after KK update. Now If that mode is selected MX just crashes. Also some video files that used to work using HW mode now they only work in SW mode otherwise the MX player crashes.

I am not rooted on Tmobile US and I get to tether to my Note10.1 2014 tablet no problem. Regular hotspot setup does not work as pointed out after KitKat but I am using Open Garden and I can tether again without the need to root.

Its an app problem. After the last update of YouTube I have the same problem even on my nexus4. There is a bug with youtube and it thinks you are streaming to chromecast. Restart and all is fine. Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
