Post Mobile network crash on B336

Yeah but it comes back. Before B383 I had to resign myself to accepting it because it kept recurring. After I downgraded to B383 and re-upgraded to B386, I only managed to turn the phone off twice before it recurred. I'd have stayed on B383 since it doesn't seem to affect it at all, but all...

Thread Mobile network crash on B336

So to my great irritation, I recently discovered that the mobile network crash bug that had been fixed in B383 is back in B386. For anyone wondering, I'm talking about the bug where opening "Mobile network" in settings causes phone services to crash and reset. I'm still not sure what causes it...

    Post C432B383 update

Not sure about this to be honest. If you could update to 378 using DLOAD then this is the same so the answer is yes, in that case.
  7. E

    Post C432B383 update

You have to use the DLOAD method. You can't use the system update interface

For all those who noticed B383 in firmware updater if you flash the two separate files it is indeed a worthwhile update unzip entire contents to SD card and rename them to DLOAD, starting with the update.zip first (and in both cases making sure you the top folder you call DLOAD is the one with...

Post Mobile Network does not open in Settings

This is fixed in the soon to be released B383. I experienced it twice but most recently refused to do a hard reset AGAIN unless i absolutely needed to get into Mobile network settings (so was still crashing) Just updated to B383 without hard reset and it's fixed.

    Thread Network bug on Nougat

So I have now, for the second time experienced this same bug. On a restart (just a normal one — not necessarily because the phone wasn't responding) the status bar completely resets to default: network name is shown, time switches to 12-hour clock etc. However as in the image, the network type...

    Post B378 rollout

I was on C432 with B361. It was OTA so might not be a patch for 360 yet. Hasn't fixed Device Policy anyway ?. Still can't sign into work Google Apps account without complaints that the device is unencrypted.

    Thread B378 rollout

Just FYI, I just got B378 pushed on System Update (was on C432B361 before), if anyone else wants to check for updates. Not sure what changes there are yet, changelog was same as B361, so presumably bug fixes from B360/1

    Post B361 bugs

Yeah. I notice it says it will reduce the resolution "when necessary" or something like that. Maybe it's now selective about when it reduces? Haven't ever seen it actually reduce since the update though.

    Post P9 7.0 b360 clear recent apps stuttering/LAG

I had what sounds like a very similar issue on B182. However I don't know if it was resolved my manually swiping apps clear, and it disappeared on the update to B360 and B361. Now, it was rather sporadic and I wasn't on B360 long (maybe 7-8 days) before I did a factory reset so maybe it just...

    Post B361 bugs

If the Software Update isn't showing it, try the HiCare Early Update. On another note, I've found another bug. One day last week the phone's display (notification bar etc.) settings seemed to reset, with one strange anomaly: the network type (4G/3G/2G) was always displayed on the signal bar...

    Post B361 bugs

Try disabling it closing it when the screen turns off. Out of curiosity, do we know if there is any difference between the B361 that was released as early adopter, and the B361 that was released as final? There were two "full" packages, with different dates on them, both marked B361. As early...

    Post B361 bugs

Is it closing WhatsApp when the screen turns off? I did notice once that WhatsApp was open with WiFi on and messages weren't even going out until I went into Contacts and hit refresh (what I always do to force WhatsApp to retry to connect to the internet). But it was just a once off.

Is this what others have been doing? This worked for me today. I remember it not working before but I'm really not certain. But before I could pay for small transactions without unlocking at all, which definitely doesn't work since the update. Maybe it's related to magazine unlock. I had it...

    Post B361 bugs

That's really strange (that I'm having issues). It does seem to be entirely related to B361 cause it disappeared when I did a rollback to B182.... Have to tinker with it some more and find the cause. I did that. After I first experience issues, I rolled back, upgraded again, then...

    Thread B361 bugs

Since its now officially rolling out, I was wondering what other bugs people have spotted in B361 (and if known, any ways to fix/get around them). For me so far I've notice Android Pay -- Android Pay no longer works as its supposed to. It no longer works from any screen, and only works when...

    Post Eva-l09c432b361

I did a rollback to B166 using the official guide, which then updated to B182. The HiCare early update programme now offers B361 directly. Only disadvantage is the need to wipe the device.

    Thread Device Policy on B360

So I just updated to B360 last Thursday, and so far no major issues. However one which is particularly annoying, is that of Device Policy. Post How awful is EMUI, and can it be made more stock-like?

Using Nougat Beta I find EMUI 5.0 to be much more tolerable, as it is much closer to stock than 4.x, but also resembles iOS more than before which isn't great. My biggest annoyance is its cloning of MiUI which, while understandable for a Chinese brand, is impractical. MiUI wastes very large...

Thread [Q] LTE bands on H815

So I see the H815 actually supports way more LTE bands than LG (or at least LG Europe) advertises. I was wondering if someone could confirm, does the phone absolutely have to be modded to enable them? Specifically bands 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 17(700)...

    Thread Cross flashing?

Just wondering, can the TF701 be crossflashed to a different region's official software without unlocking the bootloader? I'm thinking of getting it but I'm in China, and unless I want to risk a "new" imported one, I'm stuck with a Google-free Chinese one. Anyone know about this?

    Thread Flashing Chinese version

I know that Samsung phones in China are usually unable to flash international ROMs even official ones with the same model number, so I was wondering if anyone knows if the same is true for tablets (WiFi only)? I'm guessing no one yet knows for the Note 2014 specifically since the Chinese...

Post I find a little strange that there was no 4.2.2 leak ...

Well a common theory is that Samsung are themselves responsible for the leaks, or at the very least, very much aware of, but indifferent to their occurrence. And it makes sense. So many development ROMs get leaked, it seems odd to think that they would have NO way to prevent, or at least...

Post Official Jellybean is out for UK

Logic doesn't make any sense, and XDA has rules about starting pointless threads. To clarify (cause no one has been very clear about it in this thread, to be fair) the generic version of Jellybean for UK, along with virtually all network variants have all been available for weeks.
