Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

Hello... I've been testing v17 and so far most everything is working. I do have one naive question. Can anyone tell me what the red icon next to the sound icon on the notification bar is for? I attached a picture to show what I am talking about. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

As mentioned previously you have to delete the velvet.apk in system/apps. Don't delete any other files. Reboot fully and then go the play store. Worked fine for me. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

To update Google now you have to delete "velvet.apk" in the system/app folder. After deleting, reboot and go to the play store and you should be all set. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

Josh, I for one prefer the jelly bomb theme and accept the branding since it is your work that is being promoted. It reminds me of the work you have done and I appreciate that. I haven't had a perfect experience but I accept the challenges with having to supporting a development ROM. I think...

Okay, so Josh is officially well over 10K thanks. Should there be some kind of celebration? This should prove how valuable he has been to the XDA community. A big thanks to all the hard work. jim

Running the new kernel and saw a huge jump in benchmark scores. I know these are a bit subjective but I was running at 5500 before the kernel update. Hopefully this translates to real world experience. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

Yes, you are correct, this works just fines. I was just confirming that there does seem to be a minor issue going straight from the gallery. Again, no concern for me as I like the jellybomb bubbles in the background. So far I'm liking the update. I really like the colors and images. jim

Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

I tried this as well to see if it happened on my phone and I did experience the same result. It FC once you try and select it. I don't really mind as I don't use the function, just wanted to confirm. jim

Post [ROM] M.O.A.R - JellyBomb ver. 20.5.0 [Testing Ver. 21.0.0]

Josh, I just wanted to thank you for all the work in putting this Rom together. I flashed after a complete data wipe and reset. I had a few issues at first but read through the threads to find some suggestions for resolving them. I now have a much more stable and smooth operating system. I...

Post Are we dumb or is Sprint very smart

It's interesting because I haven't been charged for the 4g premium yet. I had an HTC Evo3D and my son's phone is a 4g-capable motorola. I do like the unlimited data as I routinely hit 5+ gb's. I like not having to worry about how much data I'm using and my family has recently been using...

Post ALL LTE discussions here, where, when, how fast!

Just noticed that 4G popped up in the southern part of Nashua, NH. I was, unfortunately, unable to run a speed test but I will do so once I see the signal again. The LTE seems to be located only in the southern part of Nashua. I live in the northern part and cannot attach to LTE.

    Post answer kevin rose..

This tweet by Kevin Rose seems targeted to elicit responses. I've listened to him many times and I find it hard to believe that he would be so flippant without purposely trying to bait people. It certainly has generated a lot of discussion.

Post Are you a NOOB? Ask any NOOB questions here

For Rom/Kernel recommendations I would suggest JellyBomb by Josh Beach. It works great and has a much cleaner look overall. If you do end up downloading and installing the Rom please make sure to read all of the thread pages beforehand. There are numerous questions that seem to come up over...

    Post Zagg

Wow HanMan that looks horrible. I've had Zagg covers in the past but I've never seen such denting. I've tried the cheap screen protectors available on auction websites for a few dollars and overall they aren't horrible and offer at least some protection. Much better than having a screen that...

    Post what earphones?

I would agree that Beats are not worth the expense. My son has had a pair of in-ear beats and they have not held up at all. I am hopeful that with Beats officially separating from Monster that the quality and value will start to head in the right direction.

Post [AWARDS] Best Phone OS/Overlay of 2012 so far

JB I vote for JB (of the choices listed). I like the stock look and JB has been working great. I much prefer the custom JB themes (by Josh Beach).

    Post Help choosing a phone..

Galaxy S3 I would recommend the G3. You can wait for the next phone to come up but you'll find that there is always a new phone about to be launched so you can wait forever. I've recently transitioned to the g3 and enjoy it very much. Liked it a lot better once I rooted and put a JB rom on it.
