Nope been doing this since the Sony Xperia Pro. Went from that to the Galaxy S3 on Cyanogen, then to the S5, and now S8+. The rest were pretty straightforward, clear instructions, had ample support and never really had much issue that I couldn't figure out on my own. I mean cmon dude just look...
yup
I didn't wait a year, if you did a little search you'll see I've been here multiple times last year.
Yes I have and I also asked for help several times. I post my issue and never get a follow up response.
Yup did all that multiple times. Made damn sure I was using the correct stock...
I just want my phone unrooted and go back to official firmware. I've been trying for a year and nothing. I'm so tired of this. There are so many apps that are now incompatible with my S8+ because I'm still on 7.0. I even got desperate enough to just pay a local tech to flash it back for me...
I managed to get pass that error by using ComseyOdin. I'm still on 7.0 after trying to flash Oreo, not sure why. Trying to flash stock 7.0 now to see if I can upgrade that way.
Edt: I flashed stock from Updato but it says "The Operating System on your device has been modified in an unauthorized...
I'm ok with that. Do you know where I can download the stock firmware? Samsung's website won't let me download Smartswitch for some reason and some of the websites I've found online either charge for "premium" downloading or doesn't have much of a reputation.
So I rooted my S8+ back in October and I want the latest Android update from Samsung. I don't really care for the root anymore. I just have a couple questions. If I update my phone with the latest Samsung update while rooted, will I run into any issues? Or will it install as normal and just be...
Hey guys, I currently got an annoying issue. I keep running out of space on my phones storage and it looks like the ROM is the culprit. The app DiskUsage tells me "System Data" is taking up 7.8GB's of space and keeps eating any remaining space leftover. I can't even update apps anymore. Has...

So I am not seeing an option for wifi calling anywhere. I see that it says it's supported in the OP, yet it's nowhere in more connections or MOAR mod controls. How do I enable this?
Also is there a privacy guard option like there is in CM? I know there is a AppOps which is very helpful though I...
Yeah yeah, I know, however I'm strapped on space right now. Waiting for my new 64GB microSDcard to show up in the mail sometime tomorrow before I do proper backups. I have all my app data, contacts, and txts backed up. Though I just didn't want to go through the trouble of re-flashing the ROM...
I figured I'd have to move them back to their proper places. Thing is, I'm not sure where those proper locations are. Do you know? If it's not too much trouble, could you share that knowledge with me?
Ok, so I really messed up. I was trying to save space by integrating system apps into the ROM with Titanium Backup Pro. Usually worked just fine on Kit-Kat and previous firmwares, but not this one.. Doing so seemed to uninstall all the affected system apps, including the Play Store services...
Hey guys, I flashed the ROM no problem, and I gotta say thanks. My phones de-crapified and I can actually read/write from the sdcard now. That's awesome!!
However, I have run into a few issues I'd like a little assistance with. In the notification panel, I'm missing two very important icons...
Thanks for the post, though I solved the issue as well two days ago. I'll post my thread here just incase some other poor soul wanders in with the same issues as I.
So I saw this thread and apparently I can get a better signal by flashing one of them. Which one is the best to flash for my device? And should there be anything in particular I should backup before messing around with them.
Also which one of these preferred network modes is best? What's the...
Ok, I have a CWM backup of my original stock ROM that I can restore. So you're saying I should restore my stock ROM, back up the apn with that app, then restore my CM ROM, and restore the apn with the app? Am I understanding you correctly?
I am currently using CM10.2-20131102-SNAPSHOT-M1-d2spr and I have no 3G data. Could someone help me get it back? Is this a common issue?
EDIT: I fiddled around in "Preferred network mode" and switched from "LTE/CDMA/EvDo" to "CDMA/EvDo auto" which has given me back 3G, I think, but I'm assuming...
I too have this issue and it pains me that no one has replied and even more so that this issue has existed at least since version 3 of SwiftKey. The devs don't really seem to care or they just haven't noticed the complaints.
I've switched to Adaway. This is much better! I have one complaint, but it's a minute one. The ads are gone but the banners where they were are still there. Instead of an ad it just shows a message saying something about "not able to load." does anyone know how to get rid of that? It's not a...
I'm not sure if it's a problem with my phone or the apps themselves. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this problem?
Also sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.

As the title says I wish to update my Xperia Pro MK16A Android Version 2.3.3 However I'm not sure how to go about this since my phone is rooted. Do I need to unroot it? Is there a rooted version of my phone's rom that I can just install? Or if I decide to go for a custom ROM, which one is good...
Yeah It's definitely rooted. All the files from step 6 to 10 had to be in the same directory for the device to be seen and to continue pass step 10. Thank you! I've been trying to root this phone since august!
Team viewer sounds awesome. I'll definitely have to use that with my friends when...
I'm eager to try, no doubt.
What is teamviewer if you don't mind me asking?
I THINK I rooted it. I put the .img and fastboot files in the folder with the adb files and it worked like a charm. The reason I think it's hacked because Titanium Pro says "Root: OK"
I got the phone from a seller on buy.com, if somehow important the same seller was also on amazon.
Yes I kept the same cable, it's the only one available to me atm.
I did what you said and it says "List of devices attached" and that's it. Is my phone not connected?
Yes, it does turn off. It seems I am fine here.
And I am in the correct folder.
Here: "C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools" right?
Depending on how I do step 10 I get different outcomes. One is "device not found" if I type "adb shell" and another is a bunch of cmd jargon when I type "ADB...
I'm looking in here and I see neither. I see nothing that says ADB nor Unknown device.
EDIT: When in Fastboot it says Android phone > Android ADB interface. After I do "fastboot boot recoveryNEO.img" it says "SEMC Mass Storage USB Device"
EDIT EDIT: I tried uninstalling "SEMC Mass Storage USB...
I need help. The adb window does not pop up when I type in "ADB Shell" exactly as quoted in the command prompt, all I get is a bunch of jargon in the cmd window. And if I type "adb shell" I only get "error device not found." Am I missing something here? Help would be much appreciated.
