Haven't tried Bluetooth lately so I don't know if the issue was ever fixed but after starting up BT make a call and then hang up when it connects the sound will be normal after that. It was a cm10/aosp issue from long ago... May or may not be your problem, just thought I would pass that along...

Don't know if it works on a headset or not but it works for my car, after initiating BT try making a phone call (I dial 123) and as soon as it connects hang up. It makes the sound improve. Still not as good as TW but it is an improvement. I'd be interested to know if it works in a headset...

Update to my black screen issue... Okay, so none of the above seem to work. I hit every button several times and it stayed black screen while I was trying to hang up. What I'm thinking it is now is a problem with Nova Launcher and maybe this ROM or just Nova Launcher... it popped up a message...
