are you able to boot into recovery, if yes then connect device to pc via cable while in recovery mode. your pc will detect device storage. copy a different rom in device and flash it. if this doesn't work then flash miui with flash tool.

Its my personal opinion you dont need to avoid root access... I am not a nexus 5x user so i cnat suggest a specifc rom..i used custom roms in op2 and op3t so according to that experience i will suggest you lineage, ressuruction remix, mokee, paranoid, dirty unicorn... Moke is battery efficient...

There are some softwares named android data recovery , ease us android datarecovery.. install any of them in pc and connect phone to pc and follow steps

super su in settings before this(5.7.4) build all builds were using privacy guard for root management...but in this build i found super su in settings. actually i did not flashed super su after flashing this rom.any else found super su in this build or its only appearing in my device..........
