    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

Announcement Hello everyone, First of all, I'm really sorry for the lack of communication. There were a lot of things going on, and I couldn't keep up with all of them. As for now, my OPO is broken, though not dead, and I don't have enough money to repair it. I don't know for sure when I'll be...

I'm thinking of it. Self-built HAL seems better, but it needs much more work :)

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

I'm away from home right now, so the next build will arrive in April.

OK then, it's the fault of this ROM. However, as I'm using some voodoo magic to get it to work, I don't think it's possible for us to pass CTS in the near future. Cleaner codebase may help, but it'll need a damn lot of workarounds in the device tree.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

AFAIK custom ROMs always fail CTS test. However, if integrity is fine, you should be able to use apps like Pokemon Go, Android Pay, etc.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

It's possible, but it will break the nature of this ROM. I'm doing AOSP with Pixel style, no more than that.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

    * Launcher3 has fully functional app drawer. However, it works like the one from Pixel Launcher now (swipe up on the dock). * OK, I'll revert to the old Browser in the next build. I'll also think about replacing it with Chromium in the future. * I'll see what I can do here. * All icons in...

Torch is really strange, yes, but it works from time to time. Try rebooting your device then report back. I haven't tested audio yet, so I'll see into it. The fix may take quite some time, however.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

Still working on it internally. Some interesting stuff emerged and I'm studying it now. Won't give any details however, just gonna say that there is some progress.

Boots fine for me with latest SuperSU. Personally, I haven't seen any lag in scrolling. Camera may be laggy 'cause it resides on a few dirty hacks now (thank Google for Stagefright hardening thing).

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

It's still broken and I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix it.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

Are you using SuperSU or Magisk? Also, did you clean-flash?

There's a newer build already, but it still has a few critical bugs. I'll announce here when I fix these.
  17. E

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

The build is delayed due to some SELinux issues, so it'll be permissive for now. I'm sorry for that.

Quick announcement Due to some problems at the job I won't be able to do much development in the coming weeks. February 8th build will be released anyway, but it may not include all planned changes. As for the requested features: - Assistant – won't be available by default, and kwoktopus...

I'd recommend Bacon Camera from Play Store. ---------- Post added at 05:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:38 PM ---------- You need updated kernel for that, and the one from 14.01 build contains changes that break old camera. You can try building the kernel with the required patch if...

It is actually Launcher2 :D The 3 one is like Pixel Launcher now. I'll include it in one of the next builds. For everyone: new build incoming today with some UX improvements (not Launcher3) and a bit better camera. Stay tuned ;)

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

I'm actually allowed to edit this thread's first post ;) Battery percentage is already available through System UI Tuner. I'll also think about network indicators and advanced reboot; however, I'm aiming at almost pure AOSP UX, so I'll add something if it doesn't distort that UX much.

    Post [ROM][7.1.1_r13] Android Open Source Project | NOF26W [20/02/17]

I'll look into this. And now, to make everything clear about updates: 1. As of now, the highest-priority task is making SELinux enforcing, as having it set to permissive is a big security flaw; the next two are adding addon.d support (easy one) and implementing Sultan's camera HAL. 2. I'll...

The first test build of 7.1.1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/55so6dktri0s5wp/aosp_bacon-ota-eng.evolitist.zip Booted fine for me with f2fs /data and /cache, first boot took, like, 1-2 minutes. Don't know if it can be dirty-flashed over kwoktopus builds, so please do the clean flash. Also, it may...

Post Paranoid Android 6.0.1 - AOSPA - OnePlus One

The thing is, everything required to support F2FS is in place already, but it simply doesn't work. I think it's hard to figure it out even for experienced developers.

Post Paranoid Android 6.0.1 - AOSPA - OnePlus One

Yes, but you have to flash different boot.img for that. #535

If /data and /cache are formatted as f2fs upon boot, the ROM will try to mount them as ext4 (and fail). These partitions will show as ext4 in TWRP afterwards.
