Post Windows Phone Internals - Unlock bootloader, enable Root Access, create Custom ROM

If you don’t mind my asking, could you give me the exact instructions from initial setup on the phone to downloading files on your PC, flashing, everything? I can’t seem to get mine to work. When scanning for flashing profile it never succeeds, so I’m thinking other people are doing something...

    Post [17Jun20][Guide] [P/Q]How to root Note10/Note 10+ & Flash TWRP (Exynos only)

Thanks for the explanation, with that in mind I guess it's worth figuring out now which models use the Qualcomm chip and which use the Exynos chip, like by Carrier not Model Number so we can more easily tell before buying one. As I thought buying the unlocked one would get me the "international"...

Well, yes, I got that. But why? Is it a lack of software access to the boot loader or something? And is it only the Qualcomm devices? In the past Qualcomm devices have been unrooted so I thought there might be a relationship there. My unlocked S7 was an Exynos variant with an unlockable boot...

I knew that about what "unlocked" means. I'm curious though, why can the unlocked model not be rooted? Is this then the Qualcomm model that never seems to get rooted? Or are those two things unrelated.

Didn't realize it worked on those too. My last Samsung phone was an S7 so I haven't followed dev talk for the ones in between very well.

Is Knox working or us this patch just giving access to the folder unencrypted? I guess the easiest way to tell is probably checking other obvious Knox things, like Samsung Pay. Its be cool if this was the first phone (to my knowledge) to still have full functionality after rooting. Usually Knox...

I suppose I should have mentioned it a moment ago, my unlocked device is SM-N975U1.

What carrier or model number do you have? I'm using the unlocked model and don't have anything.

Post Windows Phone Internals - Unlock bootloader, enable Root Access, create Custom ROM

Can anyone explain what the “Scanning for flashing-profile” process is actually doing? Are the multiple attempts because it’s actually trying something different each time or is it just trying repeatedly because done things seem to just work if tried enough? I’m actually trying to diagnose why...
