Post Touch screen issue test / reproduction (video)

Samsung seems to think this is fixable via a software update - in fact they have supposedly released 2 of them. . . if you live in the right country that is. I've decided to return mine. It is simply unusable if it's plugged in.

    Post CameraLightSensor

The flashing that I was experiencing was directly tied to Smart Stay. Since turning it off, it has not occurred. :)

    Post CameraLightSensor

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. I've gotten up to 9 hours of SoT with my US Snapdragon model. And that was even with the CameraLightSensor issue. I didn't even know it was a thing until reading this thread. I originally stopped by thinking it was part of my ring issue.

    Post CameraLightSensor

Yeah - I think they were two different issues - Auto Brightness causing CameraLightSensor to be active all of the time and then Smart Stay causing the ring flash that I noticed as well.

    Post CameraLightSensor

Yes - Whether on the home screen, in a call, or in an app, there is a perfect "ring" (if you will) about 3-5 pixels wide around the camera that goes black for a split second or so and then changes back to the color of whatever it was displaying (think background color of a chrome tab, phone...

I spoke too soon. Even with auto brightness turned off, the flashing ring of pixels around the camera still persist. ? Edit: Sent in an error report along with two of them about the screen sensitivity issues.

Same thing on my T-Mobile model - 3.1% over 9 hours. I have not checked my unlocked model, as its still in the box. Have you noticed the 'ring" of pixels around the camera changing color to black when using the phone? I notice it mostly when browsing the web, or on a phone call. Hard to...

    Post Anyone experiencing touch issues?

I have the factory unlocked version and have noticed a little bit of strangeness with scrolling as well. Unfortunately there isn't a day one patch on the unlocked version.

Post Looking forward to this release.

Got mine a bit ago. To be honest, i can't tell the difference between the S20 FE and the Note 20 I have been using while waiting for it to arrive. The S20 FE doesn't have the video enhancer setting, which may or may not make a difference. But also I noted in a super quick camera test, that the...

Post TMO giving $500 trade in for Samsung 9 series

When I ordered mine, Samsung told me I had to wait until it shipped. I traded in an iPhone 11 Pro, which took the phone down to $55.00 US. After it shipped I messaged them back, and they told me they couldn't refund more than I paid, so they gave me a $110.00 Samsung Credit code within about 2...

Post Headphones included in the box?

That's a big nope for the unlocked US version. Perhaps the same website for the Note 20 / Ultra will work? I tried it but it told me I could only make one request per phone number. Which is a bummer as I have a Note 20 and an S20 FE now. https://form.p1care.com/sea/ivr-n20

Post G988U and G988U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here

If that's the case, then chances are that the bands that are enabled / disabled are based on the carrier's firmware that is installed on the device. I didn't check to see what bands were available before the flash. I can always flash it to a stock rom this weekend, but my bet is that when you...

Post G988U and G988U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here

Pretty sure that all of the bands are unlocked, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get T-Mobile Sub6 5G on a phone that came from Verizon, which is mmWave.

Post G988U and G988U1 Firmware Links and Flashing Discussion Here

I switched carrier firmware on my S20+, and am able to get T-Mobile 5G without issue. Also, tossing in that code gets me this: NR5G: 41-NSA 71-NSA 260-NSA 261-NSA Hope that helps!

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

When I first got the phone, it had the ATT ringtones on it, but I never noticed the boot screen being ATT. After the flash though, those were (and are) completely gone. And when I first put my sim in there, I didn't see any ATT apps on it at all. Edit: Should have noted that I bought it used...

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

So here's the thing. The first time I ever inserted my T-mo sim, I got a message about settings, and the phone restarted. It still wasn't T-mo branded, nor did it have any of the bloat (I think that is expected, no?). No other time did it ever ask me, even after being completely wiped. However...

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

No. The phone never booted with the T-Mo logo. In fact, even now it boots with the Samsung logo. I'm guessing that the XAA/XAA/ATT is what is causing that to happen. If the phone were more popular it would be easier I think to find the firmware numbers and guarantee that I have the right one.

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

I found the build numbers on the web, but downloaded the actual files with SamFirm. I didn't see any of the TMB builds on XDA, so google became my friend (or enemy in this case).

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

It did in fact flash all 5 files from the TMB download that I had found. That is where all of my troubles began. Prior to that I wiped the phone, went into recovery, wiped it again and then rebooted to the boot loader. The first time I did it, the phone didn't even know what the IMEI was. It...

    Post AT&T Note 10+ 5G (N976U) Firmware Files Here

Thank you for the link, it helped out more than you know. I have an unlocked N976U (originally on AT&T) that I tried to flash to T-Mobile. And for whatever reason, it didn't work. The phone kept telling me sporadically that there was no sim card installed, and the phone was trying to connect to...
