I've also got exactly the same problem on my MTK6589 Star N9599 phone. I bought it from Amazon and managed to get everything else like the IMEI and GPS fixed relatively easily in the engineer menu, but the camera is absolutely refusing to work. It just does not focus and everything is blurred...

Would you share it? I've got a very similar phone, the STAR N9599 and would appreciate it if you could share your work. I'm having trouble with my Camera not auto-focusing and wonder if a ROM upgrade would resolve it.
