Keep trying As another post pointed out, the amount of time you wait is relative to your connection speed. If you connection is good, the time you wait is slower. Trial and error worked for me. Ultimately the wifi disable allowed me to update on release day when Zune said I was up to date...

Just a heads up, I am working with streakunlock to get a code for my warranty replacement s7. It is slow coming, like a week now but he is working it. Just don't get worked up if you have a newer s7 and request an unlock code. Btw, I fixed my original but figured I would keep the newer one...

So- I have gone from a corrupted system that would boot with no fastboot or recovery mode into an operating environment that was unusable due to repeated force closures. Now thanks to these files I have been able to restore my system and finally apply Steve's 2.2.2 rooted with clockwork...

Sorry- I went to sleep after my post and went to work(I cannot access this forum from work) and just got home. I had applied the update and started experiencing FCs after the update. I used this to as explained above to individually write the partition images... However, it now appears...

I was successful using this tool by using the batch commands such as "flash_boot", "flash_recovery" individually. If you remount the device between flashes you should be able to flash the each partition. I did get one unsuccess R/W on exit, so I reperformed the operation and was O.K...

This actually means we may still recieve an official update through Dell since our device is a tablet and meets Google's intended platform requirments for Honeycomb. Just no source for a handrolled solution... Let's hope their recent update is an indication of the pace they intend to support...
