Bringing my update of this issue. Took my phone to the official service, got a new board ( new serial, mac, imei ) and the issue is fixed. Also got a new display as the previous one was lifting off, they said it's bended chassis LMAO Few days after the repair, the screen has lifted even more...

Same here. WiFi OK, no BT. MAC isn't null, just one character apart from the WIFI. Happened out of nowhere it was working on first Oreo and a week ago it stopped discovering anything at all. Today's OTA did nothing. No modifications on the phone were made. Tried network reset, nothing.

I wouldn't risk to flash this OTA over a custom ROM as I have no idea what the OTA brings inside exactly ( bootloader, modem, recovery, partition mapping, etc ) In your case I'd go stock and BL lock first and than flash OTA. It's double work, I know, but it's the safe way that should work...

Think that might be the issue in your case as from what I've found in ota matedata file, it says "sourceDisplayVersion": "NPLS26.118-20-5-11" and also "minVersion": "Blur_Version.26.241.14.griffin.retail.en.US" NPLS26.118-20-5-11 - is the 7.1.1 with Dec security patch...

PIP works here and active by default. Make sure you have it enabled @ Settings > Apps > Advanced > Special app access > Picture-in-picture Tested with chrome full screen video and google maps.

I had the same build as yours and as far as I see in the ota, it's the one that is required to install the ota so this looks OK. Regarding the error you get, I think your problem is the corrupt file as in my case, I downloaded it, had to rename to ota.zip as it was named with a bunch of symbols...

What's your current version you have installed ? Also you might want to post an exact copy of the error so we try to help and figute out what's wrong.

i've read this thread today and i'm getting worried. My luck is that i live in Portugal and work at a carrier shop that has the exclusive for I9000 here. So i'll be able to test my u-sim (i think it is u-sim) before i buy the phone as I use a different carrier than i work for... I'll keep you...

Maybe i'll make some screenshots later. First boot really fast, less that 4 minutes here on mine... Google restored all my apps that was installed from the market as coming from another eclair so i just needed backup for non market apps. Just great.
