    Post Bluetooth stopped working

Thanks dzidexx. I think it has more to do with the number of devices, since if I do a factor wipe and start adding devices it gets into the same state.

    Post Bluetooth stopped working

All, Here is an update, and not sure if this is pointing to a problem with the ROM or hardware but... I did a factory reset via recovery and bluetooth functionality seemed to behave properly. I then did a recovery from google which put the bluetooth back into the same state as it was before...

    Post Bluetooth stopped working

I still have not done a factory wipe, which I will do this weekend. But if it does turn out to be hardware, is the BT module part of the motherboard, or can it be replaced? I am searching replacement parts and watched the tear-down on iFixIt, but there does not seem to be a separate module for...

Yeah, thinking about doing this as a last resort. Thinking maybe the driver got corrupt or something else software related.

    Thread Bluetooth stopped working

At some point yesterday, my bluetooth decided it was no longer going to pair or connect with devices. If I select a paired device that is on, I get a "Connected" messages and then a second later "Disconnected". After this happens the device no longer shows up as paired. If I go in an try to...

Thread T599N Won't boot trying to fix

Hi, I have SGH-T599N that has been sitting around for a while and I wanted to give it to my son. When I turn it on, it gets to the initial splash screen with Samsung Exhibit on it, but never gets past there. I went into recovery and did a wipe, but it still will not boot. So I figured I...

Post Flashlight not working after OTA Marshmallow update

I rebooted the phone, and now it is there in the notification quick panel and the chop is working. That was driving me crazy. Thanks for the help everyone.

Post Flashlight not working after OTA Marshmallow update

I think I would be ok with the chop not working if I could find a way to turn it on without downloading a 3rd party app.

Post Flashlight not working after OTA Marshmallow update

Do you have the ability to turn on the flashlight from the quick setting in the notification panel?

Thread Flashlight not working after OTA Marshmallow update

I took on the OTA 6.0 update a few days ago. My Moto X is not rooted and the boot loader is not unlocked. It is completely stock and on the AT&T network. Before the update I could reliably use the chop method to turn the flashlight on, but after the update I can not get it to activate. I...

Post Now for a dumb question

When I do this, it asks me which program I want to use. I have two choices, both "Media" and "ES File Exploer". If I select "Media" is can see what is selected. On older versions in the contact view, I could see the ringtone selected for the contact. For me to make the ringtone available...

Post Now for a dumb question

I want to see what is set for a specific contact. If I select "media" then I get this list but can't see the ringtone in the contact values after clicking on edit.

    Post Rooting without unlocking bootloader

I could put them in the ringtones folder on sdcard0 but the moto did not see them. I then used ES File explorer and set each file as a ringtone. Then when I went into the settings it prompted me if I wanted to use ES to set the ringtone. There were some posts that suggested going into apps...

Thread Now for a dumb question

Ok, so I finally figured out how to set custom mp3 ringtones which I must say sucked. When you go into contacts, you can see this wealth of information when you click the pencil to edit. You set the ringtone by using the context menu "Set Ringtone". For the life of me, I can't figure out...

    Post Rooting without unlocking bootloader

Well, this is a bummer. I just went to put my custom ringtones on and it was a pain in the arse. Eventually I will probably get pissed enough to just unlock and root.

    Thread Rooting without unlocking bootloader

Just took delivery of my phone yesterday and love it. I want to use Titanium Backup as well as sshd on the device so I would like to root the device. I have a Titanium backup from my old S4 on the SD card now in the Moto but can't restore items and settings. So.... after reading the post...

Thread Security fixes for 5.0.1 rooted device

Hi all. I am wondering if there is a fix out there for the stagefright vulnerabilities for an Active that is already rooted? In another thread, not even sure if it was in an XDA forum or I saw it elsewhere, there were patches for S5 and S6 devices. Thanks
