I keep it off on my S8. I find it adds like 4.5 hours of battery life keeping it off. The and looks cool but it's not really useful and definitely not worth 24% less battery life daily.

what is the point of unlocking the device? the OP is about changing the eSIM ICCID/existing phone number associated with the device. How can this be done? It does not seem to be actually related to an unlocked device which just lets it work on another carrier.
