I can confirm that the M8 Weaksauce and Firewater will work to get s-off so you'll be good here eventually. Where exactly is it adb loosing the device? Maybe let us know what commands your running. And were you able to get the temp root with Weaksauce?

Thanks for the additional confirmation. Yea, this was actually one of the easier unlocks/s-offs I've had in a while. Thanks to the devs of those wonderful programs.

It didn't have to have a pin/passcode/pattern. However, firewater didn't cause the phone to reboot at all, and neither did weaksauce temp root. So i wouldn't image it would be an issue anyway (but possibly). Just disable your lock before you run firewater.

Firewater will not work without a root of some kind. I tried the temproot they provided and no luck, doesn't work. So untill we get a bootloader unlock/root method we won't know if firewater can successfully get us S-off.

I installed go contacts and made a succesful phone call from the dial pad, it doesnt sync with google though so im restoring to export my contacts to the sd card so i can import them to go contacts on ICS to see if everything works properly, will report back. oh the joys of being bored at work lol

Once you get to the point to make the .android folder in your users folder (if you dont have sdk installed), you have to use the command prompt (cmd) or else you will get the "You mus type a file name" error. The command is " mkdir .android ". just make sure you do it in the proper directory...

I work in best buy mobile and sadly my verizon rep told me that the dates been changed to TBD (in case you didnt know). However, coming from an iphone to the incredible and soon to be thunderbolt....i'd say this phone is well worth waiting for.
