My Galaxy Mini has a European (Italian?) firmware with a Galaxy Next bootlogo. Its PDA number is S5570MJKT3, and this isn't on the list or in Google Drive. Is there any way of enabling this memory hack for my firmware?

Yes with triangle away but you have to be on an ALE8 firmware and I can't be bothered with flashing with Odin etc., I'm scared something might go wrong :eek:

Finally my case is closed :) Play.com received my phone almost three weeks ago. They said it would take up to 2 weeks to process in the warehouse but they "lost" it. After speaking to a manager they magically found the phone again and said they'd process the refund. Just checked my online...

Play.com are now saying it can be up to two weeks for confirmation of the return and processing of the refund to take place, so don't expect an update any time soon :|

Hmm... beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;) As for TouchWiz (designed for humans, what is this advertising campaign trying to say) I agree but I'm going to flash a non-Samsung Jelly Bean ROM hopefully once I get it so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I actually broke mine when I tried to push it out too forcefully but I got a cheap replacement on eBay and it worked fine. Luckily the Galaxy S3 doesn't have that problem (mine's arriving tomorrow :))

An update: Received my phone back from HTC unrepaired yesterday (Play.com is going to refund the £23.70 it cost to have it sent back). It came back in an "All Good" box with a thumbs up on it. Inside was my phone and a grainy photo of the Relocked status with a bad MS Paint job edited upside...

I suggest that with the state of HTC's repairs at the moment, you stay with your temp fix until it stops working. Then print out the HTC official repair guide for this problem located at the beginning of this thread and bring that and your phone to a local phone repairer/unlocker. They should be...

Wow, that is very very poor. Contact the shop/site you bought the phone from and tell them what's happened and how HTC's being uncooperative. They should replace your phone for a new one... I would say complain to HTC but in my and other people's experiences they'd probably do f*ck all.

Don't bother updating, it's a waste of time as it's obviously hardware-related. They don't check if you've updated or not and they'll update it themselves when they get it anyway.
