    Post [APP][MOD][ROOT/NONROOT] YouTube Vanced Edition

Went through the whole thing. History does work now, but there's no red line underneath videos in my history to show progress if I pause or completely watch a video. It tends to restart. Though there is a progress bar in my subscriptions list, at least. It is saved somewhere, so it's not too bad.

I installed the non root version. 13.28.54. It doesn't remember the videos I watched or save the timestamp if I stop watching for a bit. I tried to mess with the corresponding option in the privacy settings menu, but it doesn't do anything. Everything else works fine. Subscriptions and...

    Thread Changing the tilt-to-wake angle

Is there a way to change the angle needed to activate tilt-to-wake? I've had a G Watch for a day now, and I'm already getting shoulder issues from trying to activate the screen. I just can't twist my wrist far enough. The watch seems to work best when I wear it on the side of my wrist, which is...

I would like good S Pen support, but as said, it's proprietary ****, which means they can't give you as much support as Samsung can. It's just a choice you have to make, and there's not much of a way around it. I'm kind of glad that it works at all.

    Post [Europe] Bootloader Discussion

The G5 might actually be a decent option. I hadn't been paying attention for a while, but it is about as high end as anything else and it is pretty cheap now. A bit on the small side for me, though. I'd like to have a 5.5 inch or larger phone. The Moto Z may also be an interesting option...

I installed this ROM just today, and it seems good enough for me. GPS is accurate, 4G works. I had some WiFi issues, but that's probably a bad router. My laptop had issues as well. I can't record video, but I believe this is a known problem. Other than that, it seems like daily driver material...

I have to say, though, as soon as cell data works, I'm going to flash this ROM. At that point, it should almost be good enough as a daily driver. Everything that should work seems to work, other than mobile data.

This is a good point. I don't think burn-in is the biggest issue with AMOLED ever, but it is still an issue. I have a Note 3 myself, and under specific circumstances you can notice that the top (where the status bar usually is) is just a little bit brighter than the rest of the screen.

Even if that doesn't happen in an official update, there will probably be some sort of mod that does this. Once the bootloader is unlocked, people should start developing all sorts of ROMs and mods and stuff.

When the bootloader is unlocked, it simply stays unlocked, right, even if we update it later on? Although I'll probably just end up installing CyanogenMod on it. Post [Europe] Bootloader Discussion

I think we do need a new CM version. There's currently only a CyanogenMod for the US version, and there are a few significant differences. Mostly in the modem. But I'm pretty sure that once this bootloader stuff is all said and done, it shouldn't take too long before a CM for the A2017G pops up.

I am definitely getting either the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, or the OnePlus 3. I don't know which yet, but I do expect the Zenfone 3 to be more feature complete. However, OnePlus is known for being very open, and as someone who frequently dabbles in custom ROMs, it would be in my interests if the...

Post Android 6.0x for Note 3 (Note5 TouchWiz port) - any versions?

That topic is filled with people calling it fake. Apparently, the guy just stole someone's MM themed 5.1.1 ROM and changed the build.prop to make it look like it was actually 6.0.1. However, the SDK version is still 22, which means it is actually 5.1.1. A real MM ROM should have SDK version 23.

Post Can we expect marshmallow soon?

My biggest issue with CM is that there isn't a good multiwindow implementation yet. Well, I do have a few suggestions. I'd like to see proper stylus support, although I know that there are some apps and I see that you're working on some stylus things, so I guess I don't really need to say much about that. Post [HW MOD][UPDATE][JB] USB OTG + Charging on the Galaxy S3

It should be kernel-based. I have tried many different kernels, each does something different with those docking modes. You probably need the kernel that the OP uses. I'm sorry for my late response. Yes, I did solder the jumper wires to the USB cable. I'll recommend covering the soldered parts with tape to make sure you don't actually short circuit things. Using a breadboard makes it easy to use different resistors and just in general experiment with this. I...

    Post [EOL] [KERNEL] [I9300] [Samsung JB] Boeffla-Kernel 5.11/6.9/7.9 (23-10-2015)

The car docking mide supported by your kernel doesn't charge the phone while allowing OTG to be used, does it? I have been toying around with home made OTG cables with resistors (I have quite a few resistors with the right values for different docking modes) between the ID pin and GND pin and...

OTG + charge that you're supposed to get by putting a 40.2k resistor between ID and GND doesn't seem to work. I get a few beeps implying that the phone detected that something happened, but no OTG. Even a simple mouse that works in normal OTG mode doesn't do anything. The phone seems to get...

I flashed a new ROM, flashed this kernel on that ROM (as to make sure my former ROM didn't cause the problems) and did a bit of rewiring in my home made OTG cable to make sure it really wasn't the cable either. Result: the same problem as before. Short circuiting the ID pin and GND pin makes the...
