I've had this problem with maybe every 7.1.2 ROM there is and tried most versions of AEX with and without other kernels (like Lambda). For V4.5 I tested it with a clean install and the original kernel.

Sadly I have still the "Wifi disconnects on sleep" bug with v4.5 Let's go back to 7.1.1 :c

Did anyone who had the weird "Wifi disconnects when in sleep mode" problem try 4.4 out yet? I'm currently on the last Android 7.1.1 version because I had the problem ever since 7.1.2

I only ever got random reboots with AEX when I used the Lambda kernel. I'd try it again for a while with the stock kernel.

I haven't tested 3.3 yet, but on the previous version I had the same problems with any Kernel but the default one.

Search for the Magisk tutorial for this rom and do every step besides the Magisk stuff. That worked for me and is pretty straightforward. I think AEX comes with builtin root support, so you have to remove it manually first.

So I did every step as youo mentioned, but I did it dirty flashing though. Could install Magisk but the SafetyNet check is still a failure. I try it later with a clean install again and see if it works. Thanks so far for the well explained guide, you're a real help.
