Google Messages on MIUI 12 can send SMS but not MMS. Says "Network is not ready". Only the MIUI Messages app can send MMS. I search on Google for this and find other users reporting the exact same thing, so it's not specific to this rom, just MIUI 12. Any workaround would be great.

When I move the camera around quickly using any of these versions the screen gets super choppy. When I do the same thing on the MIUI camera it is smooth as expected.

GCam doesn't have a way to take a full 48mp photo or a nighttime selfie photo. The MI camera does both. It's a must have.

I couldn't get ES to use root in my G4 or S6 Edge. I switched to Solid Explorer and boy is it nicer! It has also worked with root on all both of those and my G5. Give it a shot. ES seems to be a bit bloated these days.

QuickBoot is free and works good on a rooted G5. However, it's a standalone app and doesn't replace the power menu. It is free.

It was the LG G5 file encryption. The missing step, that should be in the first post, is when you get into TWRP the first thing you must do is Wipe->Format and wipe all the data. That removes the encryption. I got that information out of the H850 recovery thread.

No, I only read the instructions for the V10 flashing, which was posted today. The only thing I've done is unlock the bootloader. I hope today's breakthrough on the V10 means the H830 isn't far behind.

Does this mean we are only seconds away from a H830 root? Exciting! Looks like the V10 requires a full wipe during the TWRP process. I almost had my G5 setup but I guess I'll discontinue that effort for now. No need to spend hours setting up twice.

Just to clarify a few things for my sanity. The instructions wolfu11 put in for the N6 are not correct. Also the steps for the H850 where you have to download a special unlock file are also incorrect. The correct steps are to do: adb reboot bootloader fastboot oem unlock (wait for device erase)...

Just to clarify, the bootloader unlock method for the global version will work on the H830 (which requires a reset)? If so that is great. I don't mind waiting for root and/or recovery as long as I don't need to reset. I know for sure the bootloader unlock will require it.

I tried two rooted debloated roms that both said OTA disabled and i got the nag notification on both. Disappointing!

I wiped everything and installed the "G4-H811-10N-STOCK-DEBLOATED.zip" via TWRP. Everything looks great, all the Google/LG apps are gone, but I am getting the OTA nag. What did I miss since it says OTA is disabled...?
