Yeah... it sucks. My S5 went in for service and came back with OG1... so I had not choice but to void knox and root with CF. I did some extensive searching but who knows how long it would take for another method like towel to be found.

Since you're on OG1 your only option is a recovery-based root installer like CF auto root. Unless you've already got a custom recovery, you're SOL and will need a PC.

The sprint S5 has the AWS band disabled and only has LTE bands 21, 25, and 41 enabled. There's a thread here on XDA on how to enable additional bands by writing some NV values, but I can't guarantee that will work. I didn't have any luck getting my AWS band enabled.

Update: My phone was in for service, when I got it back the form said they replaced several components and now data works as expected. Very strong evidence that it is a hardware issue.

Hmmm... I don't see the same error in yours, but your phone also doesn't seem to attempt to initialize the data connection (I don't see any "SETUP DATA CALL" in the log). If your APN is set properly then I think you have a different underlying cause.
