Apology if I sound like a noob, but the more I read the more confused I get. What is the difference between these two scenarios? Which one is preferred? 1. Take OTA all the way to NC4, use Towrlroot. 2. From any rooted rom, flash Beanstown NC4 ROM and ODIN updated NC2 firmware.

What is "tether provisioning hack"? Does it mean the built in wifi tether (not FoxFi or some other app) will bypass checking of tether subscription? Specifically for those with unlimited data. Can anyone confirm this?

Well we just have to agree to disagree. My Nexus 7 definitely outperforms the S4 and Note 3 which I currently still use. "Laggy" is not a WOR I would use to describe Nexus 7. Quite the opposite since I feel it is one of the smoothest Android device available.

1st of all the Nexus 7 FHD technically has a lower clocked Snapdragon 600. All the latest and greatest Qualcomm SoC are just evolution and higher clocked Snapdragon S4 Pro anyway. The biggest performance gain is on the radio side which is meaningless for those of us using WiFi only tablet. Yes...

The performance difference between Nexus 5's Snapdragon 800 and Nexus 7's lower binned Snapdragon 600 is essentially marginal and negligible. They are on the same die size. Real performance gain will come from next die shrink.

No case here and still in prestine condition. I do baby my phones and make sure my pockets are clean with no key or sand. The faux leather back really helps. I understand why people use cases. I just hate using cases.
