I didn't get as far as a bootloop as the zip didn't install correctly, I also believe that factory reset wipes data? I'll install stock 4.3.1 and then try again.

When did you order it? I didn't bother the first time Asus had them online as the idea of paying and waiting 14 days for shipment put me off. However, as they had them listed again last Sunday I placed an order for one. I'm just hoping it will be delivered later this week.

In the kitchen, look at the bottom, it says v31, these are the only mods for this ROM, the ones above it are for ICS. Sounds like you made the same mistake as me and installed the CRT off mod for ICS, the 4 way extended power menu is already in the ROM, you don't need to install it.

All the mods I have installed are working fine, did you install them 1 by 1? Did you try installing a theme and mods at the same time? Did you try installing a theme after installing the mods?

Yes I did disable it via the settings but it would still start up when I restarted the phone. I've now frozen it via Titanium. Thanks for the reply.

I thought I would give this ROM a go and so far it looks nice and feels responsive but one annoying problem, if I disable Light Manager, when I reboot the status icon appears again letting me know it's running in the background, any idea how to cure this? TIA.

This year the SGS will be 2 years so old, it's no longer being produced and we've still seen GB updates until recently. The S2 has been available for a year more or less and the S3 will soon be launched. Bearing in mind that many people will be coming to the end of a 2 year contract this year...

There is nothing to suggest that the S3 will not be a popular phone. Unless Samsung make a complete **** up with it, it will be as popular as the SGS and SII. For me it's Slim ICS and semaphore 0.9.1. It's more responsive and quicker than any stock / custom GB ROM I have used and runs fine overclocked @ 1200mhz. No way am I going back to GB again.

Yes, ICS, forget about Samsung's official stance on releasing it for the SGS, the devs here are doing an awesome some and ICS Slim, is fast, sleek and so far, I've had no problems with it.

I've not read other threads about JVQ issues apart from the problem with the browser and deoxed ROMs. I prefer Dolphin HD as it's a much better browser. I've been using goatrips ROMs for a while and with is JVQ build, I've had no fc's, battery life is good, it's smooth and no problems with apps...

Umm... I have enough experience with custom kernel and ROMs to know what I am doing. I've tried everything mentioned in the first post otherwise I wouldn't have posted. The EXT4 conversion works flawlessly JVO-V3.2 and the JVO ROM's and previous builds of the kernel. I've only had this problem...
