Hey, are you sure you followed the installation guide correctly ? I recommended you flashing the stock fastboot rom via edl (your phone should be already in edl mode by how you described its current state)...

The android firmware warning is related to which stock firmware to have flashed previously, not to the custom rom if you come from miui 14 or miui 12, make sure to flash the latest miui 13 global fastboot rom before following the guide if you come from any custom rom (to this date) just flash...
