when I try and delete it says I can't because the file is system read only file. Checked properties, but it doesn't show that (like a normal computer property list). So how do you change this so I can delete the stock ringtones which I never use?

did you do a factory reset? if not, that usually does it. Had one time it didn't and had to redo the flash a second time

Not sure how that happened, as I searched for my device and pulled up that forum before posting. But must be doing something wrong there as well, as I just scolded for the same thing on another post. (which however was in the G2 section).

okay, so I finally got to method 2, step 7 - ran the Marvin mod - gets 75% through it's start up and then says "please update R&D test tools".... is that one buried somewhere in the 327 pages here?

The only changes to this rom was ADDING the 4.2.2 bootloader back into it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673736 The offline language download is English (US)

Probably sounds stupid here, but what do you mean non-factory 4.4.2? I'm using the current OTA 4.4.2 that was just modified to allow rooting, other than that it's the same as anyone that updated OTA. But again, if it's a required install to get, why would not having it stop the "okay google"...

Have updated my Tmobile LG G2 to Kitkat and want to debloat it (as I actually like the LG UI). However everything I google about Rooting just links to Kitkat being available but not how (or if) you can root it. I assume that IORoot22 will only work with 4.2.2, and vroot/kingofroot don't work...

Thanks for that, the old saying: If it was a snake... So As it shows in your post Ville - brings up HTC. So I type LG G2, it gives me a second page that as for the carrier - put in T-Mobile and the only flash it has is 2.6.3.2 (which I already had)... there are no other listings for T-Mobile.

Sorry for not mentioning that part as well. Went to the TWRP site and see NO SEARCH ENGINE, nor anything there that says Ville. Nor Googling TWRP ville.

Which part did you just try? This is what I did 1)root using ioroot 2)do a factory reset 3) get Freegee from playstore 4) once freegee is up, ask it to load CWM (there are 2 I took the newest one) 5)Power off and manually reboot - this will take you to CWM

Thanks... CWM did work... unfortunately I still had the UI as LG G2 has that stupid Volume/power button on the back (who thought that was a good idea???). But apparently if I want to check out roms I'm stuck with it. Does kind of make me wonder why TWRP's update is worst at modding than it...

appreciate the quick response. Two things: Do I need freegee if I'm already rooted and running a recovery system, as well as having goo manager and flashify. Second thing, is CWM the only way to do this (as I really like the UI of twrp).

tried to find this on the link for a T-Mobile phone, but it only has nexus 7. So I googled it and every carrier seems to have the previous versions on techerrata EXCEPT T-Mobile. Any help would be appreciated

TWRP 2.3.3.0 for TMOBILE LG G2 I keep getting error message: Error executing updater binary in zip whenever I try to flash a AOSP ROM with TWRP 2.6 and read that if I back up to 2.3.3.0 that I could correct this issue. HOWEVER, the only 2.3.3.0 that comes up is for AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc...

Similar question except on ROOTED phone. I'm running AOKP Nightly from 2/8/14, but the camera options only let me adjust to 8MP which seems kind of a waste on a 13MP camera. Any suggestions on fixing this (app or instructions on flashing apk)? Thanks in advance

Read today that LG will put out 4.4.2 end of q1, I assume that means we won't actually see the official version for G2 until sometime in April. But since there are so many people modifying it already, isn't there a way to get a stripped down version (with out all the mods that cause glitches)...

I found that the best way was to load flashify, that did the trick so I could start trying out ROMs... so no on to the next step - finding a 4.4.2 stripped down stock and the LG stuff I actually like.... thanks again.
