Post OTA 4.4 for Original Shield Tablet

It's a little tough to organize recovery images, OTAs, and utilities into an easy-to-read fashion without using those grey boxes. Managing literally hundreds of files (100GB+ worth of files is expensive to store anywhere but MEGA btw) is not an easy task and trying to shove all of them into a...

Absolutely no idea when the full 4.4 OTAs will be released. I just checked again and 4.3 is still the newest full OTA.

That's weird, that's the version number for 4.1. I'm not sure what's up with it but I can confirm it works with unrooted tablets as mine took the update just fine. As stunned2 said, I'd just wait for the full OTA to be released.

Well I think the only option you have now is to flash a recovery image. You may be able to get away with using only a full OTA but I cannot confirm that.

Downloads and guides are available in the original post of this thread. Take a look there and if you have any questions feel free to ask. Seeing as you're rooted, I'd recommend looking at the OTA flashing section.

Honestly if it's not booting to anything then it sounds like it's been killed. If you can't get it to boot to the bootloader then I'm afraid I can't help you.

4.3 recovery images posted (RoW and WiFi) That's way back from when the 3.0 OTA was released. Interesting that a 14 month old issue is occurring again. What OTA version or Android version were you upgrading from?

If they're not in the package you downloaded then I wouldn't worry about them. These guides are not for the K1 as I do not have one, so I'd be wary about using them if I were you. You could simply try running the .bat file contained within the K1 package you downloaded just to be safe. You'll...

I've installed from an SD card so that isn't the factor. You could very easily check the free space on the main partition from within the OS. I suggest you confirm the lack of space by doing that first. If you do indeed have free space, I vaguely remember an issue with permissions in TWRP...

I mean, depending on the cause of the issue (network speed, host limit) you could request a mirror on another host... Best guess would be to reflash the framework. Does the app say it's installed?

I believe that the full OTA will take care of any required upgrades you'll need seeing as that's how Nvidia does it for non-rooted tablets. Since you're having trouble with windows 10 not recognizing it, I'm going to take a guess and say that you need to play with the drivers a bit. The main...

I apologize for the response time, your question got lost in the bombardment of posts. When you're in that menu, fastboot commands are received and executed. There is no sub menu. Use the command 'fastboot devices' in a command window and see if anything pops up. If yes, you're good to issue...

You should use one of the LTE RoW images, although if you're flashing it onto one of the defective units (vulnerable to the kill switch) I'd recommend looking at this link to see how to prevent bricking your tablet. It would be easier to just stay on a third-party ROM for any defective tablet.

Post No os and no recovery!

If you go to the link in my signature, you will find guides for flashing the recovery partition (among other things) as well as download links for the recovery images. If you lack installations for adb/fastboot, there's a tool on XDA called Minimal ADB and Fastboot. I'd recommend using it.

Post No os and no recovery!

If you can actually get to the fastboot menu, you should be good to go. You'll have to unlock your bootloader, but once you do that you can flash the recovery partition or flash an entire recovery image. Do respond if you're looking to do so.

I'll re-download it and double check to make sure it wasn't a corrupted download. I have to ask though, how are you trying to flash the full recovery image? Are you following the guide in the OP? As the guide implies, TWRP and sideload are not options when flashing a recovery image.
