If you can't get into recovery you need to use LG Flash Tool to flash a stock ROM, this method may help.

I dunno, I've never compiled any Android ROM from source, but judging from http://www.cmxlog.com/13/d855/ and https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/projects/NIGHTLIES , check the commits/comments from yesterday and you'll see a few patches and stuff related to phone calls and contacts.
