Battery life has been great for me. I usually use this rom in combination with alucards kernel. For me, it's a perfect match. :) Hi and welcome to the Mahdi club! :highfive: Of course, no problem! In fact, you even need black gapps if you want to use the "dark ui" setting in all its glory. :D

Mahdi has integrated the new kernel structure, so not all kernels will work. KT Kernel will not work with this version, but Alucard works just great with it. :) Just flash the new AOSP version (1.3d) and you are good. Or stay with the stock kernel, which is also very good. :)

Yes, xposed works. I'm using it myself together with Mahdi Rom :) If Mahdi continues the development is another question. Like you I really really hope he does!

It is. Try another gapps package. Some gapps delete the standard sms app and replace it with hangouts.

Hey all :) I flashed latest version of Mahdi rom, but since then, I have a wakelock I can't get rid of. Does someone know what to do when "com.android.internal.telephony.data-stall" produces wakelocks? I already tried the usuall stuff (dirty flashed, then clean flashed, 4.4.2 gapps, 4.4.3...

This does not seem like a typical bug. What recovery are you using? And did you try to simply redownload the rom again?

I don't have that error, but in another thread on xda someone said "All I do is go to account, Google and turn contacts on and off a bunch of times until it actually syncs OK." You could also try another gapps package, seems like it has to do with that too.

I had a few freezes when using alucards kernel, so I'm back to KT now. Latest version with 4.4.3 gapps and KT kernel runs really smooth for me, no freezes or minor lags. Are you using stock kernel? Did you try another gapps package?

As far as I know there is no download for stock kernel. But you can just dirty flash the rom to get it back. :)

Yes, they are now included in the rom. I don't think that they are noticably better, the rom is as smooth as before. But on the other hand I don't play that much on my phone, so there might be some improvements, when playing games. Thanks for linking the dalvik patches!

Wasn't able to try them, I flashed the file but the driver didn't update. But what I read from the threads there isn't much improvement only slightly better performance in games. If I manage to get the new drivers to flash properly I will report back. :) Enjoy your stay in Morocco! :highfive:

Do you mean the screen turns on randomly? Then I guess it because you have "pocket mode" in lockscreen notifications enabled. You can disable it by just unticking the option in the settings :)

You're welcome :) I would say that alucard and KT are both equally good reagarding battery life. Especially with KT v6 profile the kernel works really well. But I guess, I will switch to alucard kernel and test if the smoothness I experience is from KT kernel or from the different file system...

Did you dirty flash? Try to redownload the rom. I flashed latest version along with KT kernel yesterday with twrp and it is working.

I didn't have the time to download and flash the latest version, but will do that now. :) Try what ever kernel you prefer first, I would say. According to the other posts here, KT and Alucard boot, so it's just a choice of which you like best. :)

Did you try to flash another kernel right after you flashed the rom? Seems only not booting when using stock kernel.

Did you dirty flash from the previous version? Mahdi changed the lockscreen to slimrom lockscreen and there can be many fc's, if the lockscreen targets weren't reset before the flash.

Try the different options. I would just change the color and leave everything else as it is. :)

I didn't try it myself, but you could test if gravitybox works. You should make a nandroid backup before though, gravitybox might not be fully compatible/ causing issues with mahdi rom. But still worth the try, I guess. :)
