For face unlock you should switch to a different region, for camera i had to switch back to stock kernel Hope this helps

you can't dirty flash/update from a beta to a stable rom, clean flash is mandatory

it's a kernel issue, at least it was for me. I was trying sphinx 3.1 on xiaomi.eu 11.0.4.0 android Q but all camera's fc'd (after giving permissions). Reverting back to stock kernel (to be more precise i reflashed whole rom) fixed it for me

Others have confirmed that (IR) face unlock works on Android 10 xiaomi.eu 11.0.4.0. if it's not working you should try to change you're region in settings...

Xiaomi.eu removed the toggle since they believe toggling it off creates issues. They don't want to spend time on bugs coming from switching it off. The optimization is therefore always on.

Probably not as streamlined as what you're looking for, but my solution to kind of the same problem (gmd stops working but keeps running) is a task to (root)kill app followed by launch app, wait half a second and then go home..
