Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.0.1 for OnePlus 7 Series

Me too, i had op3 and 6 and now 7pro, some issue like latency problems in op6 and now op7pro like camera inconsistency and lack of updates. When i had op6 i said i will not buy another op device, yet i gave op7 another shot but not anymore, my next device will be iphones or pixels.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.0.1 for OnePlus 7 Series

Install oos completely without any modification, like it comes from factory, and then debloat with ADB, it's simple and just takes about 5 minutes. I was using kernels and root and roms and stuff but in op7 there is no need, oos is good and don't need any system modification. Now actually i...

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.0.1 for OnePlus 7 Series

I'm using beta 7 without any issue, not even a. Force close, check your apps or system modifications, i install any new update twice and then a factory reset. No root or any modification bootloader locked. And no rogue app.

    Post OB8 released

I don't have it, and I think it's app related not os related Edit: i can confirm it's app related, maybe a clear data, or updating YouTube app would help.

    Post New update 10.3.0!

Beta 7 is really good and the new stable seems like it's a combination of beta 6 and 5

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.0.1 for OnePlus 7 Series

Thanks a lot man, so the versions are behind the beta 6, beta 6 camera is 3.8.77. i thought this stable update is the same as beta 6 and i wanted to install it, because in beta 6 there seems there is a bug with chrome that it hangs in some sites and freezes. And it's annoying.

Yes that space under the keyboard is not good since nearly every keyboard is resizable, i hope at least they give an option to disable it in the future

It's always flash and forget, i myself never changed a setting. And erik always tests himself these settings to be flash and forget. Don't worry even after so many updates this still applies.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS 10.0.1 for OnePlus 7 Series

With current stage of dp5 i bet that there will be a open beta stage for about a month then a release. It's not possible for oneplus to release it tomorrow or even in a week. There are many little bugs here and there. It's completely obvious with the whole experience of dp5 that there will be a...

Post Android Q Developer Preview 5 for OnePlus 7 Pro and 7[DP5] 31/08

Hah, interesting, i should go and read the change log of chrome in Android (chromium), you use 90hz in normal mode or forced 90hz? Since in forced mode it was always running in 90hz in websites like you tested.

Post Android Q Developer Preview 5 for OnePlus 7 Pro and 7[DP5] 31/08

Thing's i see, the gestures are buggy, when you use OnePlus gestures, after you open keyboard, there is a White line in bottom of the keyboard, if you scroll horizontal on it it will try to change to the last app used like the Android 10 original gestures. System is overall smooth, but there...

I have a great or it's better to say a normal battery life with forced 90hz didn't see that much of a difference in battery between 60hz or 90hz in normal usage, of course there are differences but it's not noticeable that much

Post Disadvantages of the ONE PLUS 7 PRO. Convince me. My review. Convinced? :)

About the battery life it's been good for me a normal usage of about 5 hours with 90hz so no problems with that, about wifi and 5g they are not popular and are expensive to deploy and they need more time to be widespread (even ac Wi-Fi's are not widespread that much!!! And are not used to their...

Post Upgrading from 6T to 7 Pro.

I had op6(i didn't like the latency and performance of it) then an iPhone xs max then now i got an op7pro It's in another league from other past op devices: Much much better taptic feedback (vibration motor) on par with iphone and Pixel. The feedback is amazing, typing with Gboard on key...

Post Are you using it naked?

Well a basic protection package comes from OnePlus and I'm ok with that, i had op3 and op6 i don't remember if op3 had plastic screen cover or not but i can clearly say that op7pro plastic screen protector is of a higher quality than the op6. Of course it's not shatter resistance its just...

Post [Reviews] [Feedback] Comparison of the different CUSTOM ROMs (features, exp, bugs)

Ok i betrayed and got back to ios with an iPhone xs, mostly for the latency problems with oneplus, the only kernel that (nearly) resolved it is smurf, it's a beast performance, without hitting battery life. I say nearly since the latency inconsistency is there and it's oneplus fault not the...

Post [KERNEL] SmurfKernel 2.0.78 [GPU OC / UC] [OOS / CUSTOM UNIFIED][4.9.191]

It's for even more responsiveness and performance, but you don't need to enable it, the kernel is already so optimized. I suggest to anyone if you want to see the best performance and touch response from op6, try smurf kernel with stable oos not the beta oos. Not just this kernel but all other...

Post [KERNEL] SmurfKernel 2.0.78 [GPU OC / UC] [OOS / CUSTOM UNIFIED][4.9.191]

Just played it and now I'm posting! Actually best game oriented kernel too! Not just even a single lag but games play smooooth. Find what's the culprit mate, if you changed settings try to change them again. This kernel is flash and forget, best performance out of the flash(box) :D
  36. dante_nfs

Post [KERNEL] SmurfKernel 2.0.78 [GPU OC / UC] [OOS / CUSTOM UNIFIED][4.9.191]

loosing system settings is not kernel related i think. The camera freeze i don't think so since all kernel versions are tested with a big community and no one reported that.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

Mate no offense but this is not the place for kernels discussion. You can ask in smurfs thread and me and the others will help you with the stuff you want. Long story short, battery life is good, nearly 600 people throughly test it, and i myself never had problem. It's better than stock.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

No need to change anything. Just flash with the instructions that provided in its thread. Oos stable with smurf will have better latency, although the difference is not that much, ob or stable.
  39. dante_nfs

Post [KERNEL] SmurfKernel 2.0.78 [GPU OC / UC] [OOS / CUSTOM UNIFIED][4.9.191]

In my opinion this kernel doesn't need any change from default. I even don't install any kernel app to tinker with it,no need to. Just flash and enjoy experience, the dev is improving default settings a lot so no need to experience with other settings.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

Yes and If you want to see a latency like ios devices, try smurf kernel. The best in terms of latency, and the dev cares about that. Which is a rare thing these days. You will feel the difference even in typing! Or simple stuff.

Post [KERNEL] SmurfKernel 2.0.78 [GPU OC / UC] [OOS / CUSTOM UNIFIED][4.9.191]

Best Android kernel I've used till now. This is the best example of how tinkering with your device in the right way with the right tool can improve your experience dramatically. The best kernel for op6, the support is great and its dev is so polite and patient, never seen an dev with this...

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

I think it's nearly the only kernel that can be used with open betas and resolve many performance issues that betas have. There is not any lag with smurf. One of the smoothest experience I've seen on Android, challenging pixels.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

Battery is even better than stock. It's completely in control. The dev of this kernel is really great, he tests a lot and always keeps the battery in check, the kernels are throughly tested with a really good test community. Never saw someone that had a battery problem with this kernel.

Post [Discussion & Feedback] OxygenOS Open Beta 6 (Android 10) for the OnePlus 6

Betas have performance problem (even stable has it!) specially the latency, if you want to see an awesome performance just flash smurf kernel, then you will realize what you can achieve with this device and how oneplus holds it back. Even typing is different with smurf, so you will feel the...
